Now that I've been sufficiently razzed regarding my redundant use of the word "information!"

Paths of Glory

Kirk Douglas is one of my favorite actors and I was elated when it was announced that Spartacus would come out on BD (sadly, that film didn't receive the video treatment it deserved). And now we have an even better film (though not as epic) starring Douglas under the direction of Stanley Kubrick. I really love this movie but I wasn't aware how controversial it was in France upon its release nor did I know that the story was based on 4 French soldiers who were executed following a military court-martial. Thankfully, there were some excellent supplements to educate me. Since I worked in the legal profession most of my life, I really enjoyed watching this; not as much as To Kill a Mockingbird or Twelve Angry Men, but this would be an excellent addition to any collection if one enjoys watching legal drama.

I think the PQ is amazing and I even noticed at 00:36:11 into the film that there is a speck above Adolphe Menjou's right breast pocket which I hadn't noticed before on the previous viewings of the SDVD. The SQ is English LPCM Mono but I likewise think it is really good.

Movie: 5/5 PQ: 4.5/5 SQ: 4.5/5 Supplements: 5/5

Really FUNNY how you included a comment on my last review and used the word INFORMATION again! As usual, you tickled my funny bone!

I'll admit that shes a classy looking gal. But i cant say I enjoy her acting (Sherilyn Fenn)....at least from Twin Peaks anyway.

Unless you are talking about the band Audrey Horne.

Nah, I meant Sherilyn Fenn.

Eight Criterions on the way so hopefully I can expand my knowledge of films and find a few new favorites.

alright. sorry to sound like a cheesy infomercial there for Pixar i'm off to watch my pile of movies now.
