We mock Toshiba for selling players at a huge loss and yet you want the PS3 to do the same?
It is doing well enough for now, they need to focus on selling software.
As far as the blu ray format goes, it is the time for stand alones to make their move.
Your comment doesn't make sense. Just focus on selling the software?
Sony does not own all movies studios. They have no saying in what movie they want them to release and how many they want them to release. what do you expect poeple to play the software with if they don't buy the player first.

Toshiba spend just as much money on this project and they will fight till their last breath. They just paid one studio to come on board what make you think they will not try to do it again with other studios. If more poeple are buying $98 player at walmart it means more home penetration and more software sales. That's their gold try to get their players in every household as many as they can.
