went into my target today and seen a display with this for 19.99....pretty sure it was the blu ray edition and not just dvd. did they release this on just dvd?

I preordered it from AMZN over a month ago and when I just checked the 'status' it says estimated arrival date is 11/22-11/26. Anyone know why that is? The only other preorder I have right now is for Shrek the Entire Story but that doesn't come out until mid-december.....

I pre-ordered it as well and had the same issue. Shipped earlier this hour, and now the estimated DOA is tomorrow (?!?!). As well, an Amazon rep contacted me and said his estimated DOA is for today (again, ?!?!?!?!).

I just picked up my copy at Best Buy. They were advertising it for $29.99 in store, so I showed them their online price on my phone and got it for $24.99.

This will be my first time watching Avatar on blu-ray. The first time I saw it was on dvd, so this should be a real treat for me.

I really have no interest in this release. But my wife's dad really enjoyed the movie when I watched it with him on 4th of July.

I could upgrade and give him my bare bones copy.

Finished watching the Collector's Edition. Pretty cool new scenes but nothing to go crazy about. Overall, I still love this movie.

If thats the case then doesnt that mean that was done for the first barebones blu? Or did they go back in for a touch up for THIS 3 disc set?

I still have Toy Story 3, Exorcist, my new copy of Kick Ass, the Big 4 and Saving Private Ryan that I own and haven't watched yet. (Sorry the rebel uprising on Klatoonie has taken up to much of my time lately)

I don't see any time available soon to watch Avatar. Maybe if I can grab it for like $15 on black friday.

Well, I've been watching blu's since last year, but I just didn't go out of my way to watch this movie at all... a friend of mine had a copy of Avatar on DVD, so I just watched it to see if I even liked it. I ended up enjoying it, so I said to myself that I would just wait till the special edition comes out on blu-ray and buy it then.

Picked up my copy today at Movie Stop for $23.87.Since i had pre ordered i also got a pretty cool full sized poster.The poster is the same as the blu ray front cover.

I'm told neither, but I've heard they touched some things up for this set.

+1 Cincinnati has been a miserable place these past few weeks, with the Bengals sucking and now this weather, my only few bright spots are Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, this movie, and my friend Jack Daniels

I thought about taking one last night after I posted my photos detailing the packaging, but it wasn't requested. It is the same height as the Hangover EE slipbox. About 1cm taller than a standard BD case.
