I received my 6-disc Ultimate Collector's Set today, so here are some photos as I promised (sorry about the rather poor quality):

[Show spoiler]Front of the outer box. It's pretty sturdy material.

Back of box.

Contents of box.

Front of glossy slip-cover.

Back of slip-cover.

Front of slip-box.

Back of slip-box.

Front of disc case.

Back of case.

Case spine.

Blu-ray discs 1 & 2.

Blu-ray disc 3 & DVD disc 1.

DVD discs 2 & 3.

Jake mini bust. It's made to look like metal, but I'm pretty sure it's some sort of plastic.

Overall, I must say I'm really pleased with it.

Okay, thank you for the info. I'll try it out and be gentle.

Never heard of it, but I'm going to look into it! Thanks!

Wow, that is intense! I wasn't even aware there was a 6-disc edition. Is it imported?

Yes and no. He's in Finland and it's a Scandinavian edition, so he didn't import it, but it's not available in North America.

And the 6-disc thing isn't as exciting as it sounds, as it's the same content as here, just available on both Blu-ray and DVD in the same edition.

Yea, I do the same thing but when I got home and took the slipcover and plastic wrap off I noticed that there were scratches all over the cardboard box that holds the discs. It must have happened during manufacturing because the plastic wasn't scratched or torn in any way. The print with all the information, including credits and what not on the back of the cardboard box, was also slanted at an angle like the printer that stamped the info on was crooked. I was pretty pissed so I took it back for a new one. I feel much better now. Fox is releasing some beautiful sets lately and I need them to be as mint of condition as possible.

It's definitely not. I removed mine with no issues, albeit slowly. No Goo Gone needed.

That one is probably my widest BD from side to side. Sticks out on my shelf.

People may think I have it sticking out in the photo but that's just how wide it is.

Proactive is actually acne treatment - don't buy a whole package unless you need it. Somebody you know might have some, and just ask if you can use part 2 of the solution as a goo-remover.

I never understood the point of those busts (I think that's what you call them) in reference to that Jake Sully bust with the 6-Disc CE. I don't know why people marvel at those pointless inanimate objects for their "collector's value" when they're probably the most worthless items you could have lying around your house.

Ooooohhhhh the acne stuff! I've heard of that, haha. I thought it was some sort of alternative Goo Gone

Apparently in this case it is, I may have to consider getting some myself, not sure how I'd feel being seen buying it though. Will be watching the barebones release a lot while I wait for the steelbook to get here.

You can order it online, but I don't know if you can order the different parts of it individually or not. I know it helps a fair bit with my acne (I'm just shy of 20 so it's still an issue for me); the fact that it provides an alternative to Goo Gone for me is just a perk.
