I just remembered Swordfish is a Warner title. Gotta have it. I can't wait to hear the part where the lady blows up and the camera rotates 360 degrees.

And T3. A given. Are the first two any good on blu? I've heard both good and bad. Maybe all rent them, check them out a bit.

Yes, that too. Blue Papers. So cryptic. He did mention however to keep buying Warner BD's as well right under it.

Better safe.. than sorry.

I've said this before but the HD DVD promo group has practically proven this point for us. They claim to have more players and a higher attach rate. The only way for us to outsell them by 2-1 and 3-1 is if the playstation contributes hugely to sales.

Think about it, if their attach rates are truly what they say, their owners buy about 3 times as many discs as blu owners. If they have 1.5 times as many players, that means they sell almost 5 times as many discs than blu does. Think about how many playstation owners would have to buy discs to offset that and give a 2-1 or 3-1 advantage.

Warner is in a most unique position. They can be the company that took this format mess by the reigns and ended it once and for all. Esentially a hero company. The momentum landslide twards blu would be inevitable after a BD exclusive decision and they could mark their place in HD history. Be a warrior Warner. Be the one company that finally takes a stand with authority, vision and fortitude.

Yes Warner, reach forth and draw the blue sword from the stone. Fulfill your destiny.

Sorry, this flashed through my mind when I read your post and I had to share.

Thanks! I don't usually go over PM's hints as much as most people here, but it was bugging me why he chose to write it that way.

I blame how hot it's been the last few days for how long it took me to figure it out...

There is so much truth to this.

If we really are close to having Warner make a decision, Blu supporters really need to come through by purchasing as many Blu-ray discs possible this month!

Everybody knows that you don't sign contracts with red ink. Unless it is with microsoft, then you have to sign in blood.

I, for one, have more Warner titles than any on Blu-Ray. I got 4 more for myself and 6 more for the in-laws during the Amazon BOGO. Not to mention Harry Potter 1-5 this week. And as my signature indicates, I have tried to coax as many people as possible to make this "Warner Week."

Just curious. If Warner goes blu. How do you think the HD-dvd community will react? Try to be somewhat serious in your responses.

This thread is amazing how it keeps growing and growing. What a topic!

I wonder if we will go over 2000 posts by friday? Great opinions and thoughts on the matter, even with a couple of detours which have been fun to read.

Given past behavior, I think the reasonable among them will see the writing on the wall and accept it. The rest, and sadly I think the majority, will explain to us how this is a good thing for HD DVD. I am totally serious about this. They seem to do this with every event no matter what the reality is.

I am sure it will take them a few days to conjure up something, since the one piece of FUD they are all falling back on at the moment is that Warner will be going DuD exclusive and/or Disney going neutral. The few level headed ones will likely accept they have a very limited chance at winning the format war without Warner, but I wouldn't expect the diehard fanboys to waver in their hatred of anything Sony/Blu.

- many will say “studio support does not matter, we have cheaper players”
- Others “ HD media will never catch on, so who cares which goes first, DL is the future”
- And some others “ this is what happens when Sony is willing to spend a lot of $ because they are trying to hide the bad news on the way”
- Not to forget that this place will be flooded with new members that say that they have always been big BD supporters but for some reason are worried to death about the future of BD

Almost forgot

- "studio support is almost equal now"
and
- " Why with 4:1 studio support are BD sales only 2:1? this means more people like HD DVD"
