No bust compares to Mike Hampton. He got an 8-year, $121 million contract from the Rockies in 2000 and got a total of 52 wins. He was constantly injured and missed the entire 2006 and 2007 seasons with injuries.

exactly... while Zito is def not worth his current contract at least been healthy and can give us anywhere from 9-13 wins a year and eat up innings.... hes also been a great mentor to all of the Giants young pitching, who all seem to look up to Zito...

And regardless of how bad his stats are he had some role however big or small in brining a ring to the giants.

(they were talking about how big a deal it would be if the Cards lost Albert, and Billy was saying The Yanks would move on, but if the Cards lost Albert it would be way more devastating then if the Yanks had lost Jeter)

I still have a feeling that Lee's intention the whole time is to sign with Texas, and is just using NY as leverage to get more money... But i guess we'll just have to wait and see
