And I don't doubt the stress on anyone wouldn't be bigger in those markets, where teams like KC are just happy you produce.

That's probably true. I've suffered from a serious case of both of those issues for most of my life. It's part of the reason why I prefer not to live in a crowded city.

But still, you'd think making 30+ meaningless starts each year would be a waste of talent. It would be frustrating for me knowing I was playing for a team that has zero chance of even coming close to .500. Though it is a bit surprising KC was willing to pay him $13.5 mill in 2011 and 2012. If he's content there more power to him.

You gotta love this. ESPN and MLB want to make a special occasion for the SF Giants by altering the schedule, moving opening day from Dodger Stadium to SF. Then go straight back to LA to resume their original opening series. Has this every happened before?? Seems very cruel to let the Giants celebrate on the Dodgers dime, especially when these two fan bases hate each other with a passion and that these two current teams dislike each other as well.

I've certainly never heard of that sort of thing happening. I would say it might have to do with the Giants going half a century plus before winning a championship but that can't be so because the Red Sox and White Sox went damn near a century before winning a title recently.

Yeah, it's a bit odd. I used to think that sometimes they intentionally had the WS champion start on the road, so that they spread the hype out a bit. Everyone is excited about opening day because baseball is back, in general. And then when the WS champ goes and plays their first game at home, everyone goes nuts again.

Jon Heyman from SI says there are "strong signs" that a 3rd team is involved in the Cliff Lee bidding. A decision is expected sometime early this week. Maybe by this time tomorrow this will finally be over.

Yea, I am very afraid of ANOTHER seven year contract, specially if it's for a pitcher.


And I do not see us getting Greinke either, as they want way too much for him.
