The thing that annoys me the most, and again, I blame the thieves who made it this way, is when you have a nice big box collector's edition of something, or a box set in general, and these items have the black "spider-wraps", as we call them, wrapped around so tightly that the packaging is crushed.

Battlestar Galactica The Complete Series, Star Trek film collection, both the Kirk collection and Picard's collection...generally anything over a certain dollar amount gets these wraps. Bourne box set, Spider-Man trilogy, etc.

I was implying that I thought Target cared more about slipcovers just because they don't use price tags. They wouldn't put Blu-rays in security cases if they did.

I haven't any issues with the spider-wraps, but maybe I just got lucky or my store didn't start using them until after I bought my last box set. I understand the complaints about them though.

The last major box set I bought from BB was the first release of Battlestar Galactica with the Cylon figure. That was NOT wrapped, but it was also a few years ago. I think the spider wraps at my location may be newer. Ever since I started working there, they have been used (9-10 months now)

I usually resort to Amazon for items such as these since the packages and their contents are always undamaged 100% of the time (so far).

I want the items I own to be as close to factory shipped as possible, or "new". The stickers are part of the overall package, just as the slipcover is itself.

okay the factory stickers i wont question you on. i take everything off but i can see why people would leave those one, but why keep on the FYE, BB, Walmart, etc. stickers on? that doenst make it part of the package at all

Thanks for the pictures. I wish it was big enough to fit over the other slipcover. That's the only 3D so far I'm willing to get, but I don't want it just sitting around



And no slip for Piranha or Piranha 3D.

No no no, those I don't keep. All store price tags are removed. I make sure to leave on all "exclusive" store stickers or factory stickers.

I like to have the combo pack stickers on the slipcovers, makes it easier to tell which movies I have a DVD of/for.

Think Al was just talking about this the other day. I was looking in the piranha thread two min ago and it didnt come with one.

Yeah I recall someone mentioning it the other day. I had a feeling it wouldn't have one just from the back cover pictures but you never know sometimes.

same. i like to keep the WB Combo pack stickers on.

Maybe the guy that got it early didn't come with one. Thats how I look at it ever time someone shows a movie does not come with a slip.

that happend to me. i got Under the Red Hood early but it didnt come with the slip.

Oops, I meant Target doesn't care more about slipcovers, but I guess you figured it out.

The last box set I bought was The Lord of the Rings Trilogy when that came out (unless you count Season Two of True Blood), so it has been a while since I have bought any box sets. I do see them on some things, but I don't think either Best Buy or Target put them on everything at my stores.

The blue banner at the top of the slipcover that says Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy isn't enough for you? Seriously though, I don't mind those stickers on the slipcovers either.

yes thats always a possibility, but there was a "6 times the resolution" sticker
on the shrinkwrap suggesting that its actually shipped without sleeve
