It's sad to hear that any store in Europe would show SD material on their HDTVs. That's not going to impress anyone. As for Blu-ray, IMO it will be a big success. If HD-DVD plays it cards right we may have two formats which survive in the years to come. With most of the hardware support, the two largest PC companies, and PS3, I just don't see any feasible way Blu-ray will end up failing.
