Yes Suckerpunch is a green poster, the green ones do tend to look nice. The advance styles for Sherlock Holmes actually looked quite nice in theater light boxes, very eye catching, nice shade of green the studio used on the poster. The final style for Suckerpunch will be the same image as the advance I am hearing but with the credits added at the bottom. That should be out in the next few weeks.

does anyone know how movieposter.com is with reprints? I really want to get this poster:
http://www.movieposter.com/poster/MP...ck_Saints.html but don't want to spend $150-$200 the original is going for, does anyone know the quality of their reprints? |

What some people on eBay do is buy at wholesale from dealers like MovieGoods thinking they are getting originals, but are getting nothing more than reproductions which are indeed poorly made. There are some eBayers who have no clue what the original movie poster industry is like but want to start their own business and think just because a poster is 27x40 means it is original. There was a time when that was true, but that isn't the case anymore, especially since MovieGoods/MoviePosterShop.com sell 27x40 reproductions they produce.

alright, thanks...I was thinking of getting a Titanic, Watchmen, and Team America poster from them...i might go ahead and jump on it... also, did you see the Captain America posters started popping up on ebay? Two of the auctions ended last night at around $50... Last edited by jj5206; 02-15-2011 at 02:05 PM. |

This made me laugh when I noticed it while doing a Google search, I just feel sorry for the hundreds of not thousands of poster collectors who fall victim to believing what they read. I needed to do a Google search for "The Hangover 2" as the trailer is rumored to be attached to the upcoming Suckerpunch film and possibly we will see the poster for it around the same time.
So I typed in "The Hangover 2 movie poster" in Google, even though I already knew there is no such poster that exists yet, and along the side under "Ads" I saw a MovieGoods ad which said: "Hangover Movie Posters: Original & Authentic Hangover Movie Posters. Same as Theater. Shop Now" It was followed by their website URL. For laughs I clicked it and it took the user directly to their site's selection of movie posters pertaining to the first Hangover film. The problem is the ad's tagline about "Original & Authentic, Same as Theater" because that couldn't be further from the truth. Their posters for The Hangover and several other titles are NOT original or authentic, they are reproductions, there is absolutely nothing "Original" or "Authentic" about them. How they get away with this is beyond me, but collector's beware. There is a reason why their orders require a 7-14 day "processing time" prior to shipping, I think everywhere here knows what I mean by that. |

just wondering how everyone frames their posters. i was speaking with the frame guy at michael's and he recommended i get my posters (i have 3 originals to frame) dry-mounted, which costs $42 a piece. I'm definitely going to use acid-free backing but was wondering if the dry-mounting is worth it?
also, they have a coupon this week: http://mic.michaels.com/20110210Week...YFEBEM_1_20911 a lot of their frames are constantly 50% off, but there is a bonus 25% off regular or sale frame items coupon in there. They have a nice 27"x41" frame that is regular price $69.99 but with the 50% and 25% off it comes out to about $27. |

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...STRK:MESELX:IT With only 94 made, this could be one of the only opportunities to get one at an affordable price so I would keep an eye out on that auction. |
