You can use your Multichannel Analog Out for Uncompressed PCM.

Have an old school receiver and want Lossless audio??

okay...thanks for the advice.

sounds like hdmi to the tv

and multichannel analog to the receiver. i have coaxial and optical as well.....but i should go w/ multichannel?

Multichannel Analog will give you Uncompressed PCM (HD) audio...(Uncompressed PCM is identical to the studio master = Lossless.)

but if you think optical connection sounds better, by all means use it. Not everybody has same taste.

Do not to forget to update the firmware, if needed.

I got a question about Multichannel Analog & dvd audio. Would I get DTS/dolby digital (5.1) or would I still need my Toslink hooked up to get those off dvd's????

you would still get 5.1 standard dd and dts.
