Is "Plaque Mounting" good for movie posters? I was think about buying a poster from them.
MoviePosterShop (aka MovieGoods) offer reproductions, yes, even their 27x40 inch ones are reproductions. If you are looking for authentic movie posters, those are the sites you want to avoid. They have a few originals sprinkled about on their site, those will feature a "Genuine Authentic Item" gold seal, but everything else are reproductions.

I also got a quote from Michaels for triple matting at $290, it looked really sharp, I'm leaning that way. That's a per poster cost, so over $600 for framing!

That was with dry mounting, acid free matting and Anti-glare glass.
Thought I'd followup to my own post. My wife had asked me to hold off until April before getting the framing done, being the good husband I am I did as I was asked and went back to Michaels today. This weekend was their 70% off custom framing week honestly I can't stand their business practices... But whatever. I got some nice service today and the price for 3 mats, anti glare glass and NON-dry mounting was somehow $250.00+ taxes. Not sure how that worked out, but I pulled the trigger. I'll have pictures in 3 weeks or sooner! This is for a Stout Iron Man 2 variant and a James Davis Leon - The Professional.

Sounds like you got a good sale. Hope the quality is good. I just like the simplicity & look of lamination so I have all my posters done that way......at Costco. I think they do framing too.

Oh both together was $250? That sounds good to me. Can't wait to see these pics! Did you go with a curved matting for the professional?

I wish that was $250 for the pair... No, that was 250 each! I ended up with the squared corners, nothing too fancy, I still think it will look sharp, 3 weeks is going to be a long time.

Yeah professionally framing can be expensive. Get ready for Stout's "Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair" this coming week as it is really quite nice. Standard limited to 600 copies, 100 of which were sold at last Sunday's special screening of the film. A variant is also due out too.

Do you have any info on the HP7 Part 2 poster? I saw the Harry/Voldemort poster online but I don't think that will be one of the posters for the movie. I could be wrong. It would not be the first time.

I had read this was coming... Thanks for the picture, first I've seen of it. If I can't get in the first release I don't think I can swing this one in the resale market, I suspect it is going to be in high demand even with 600 made.

I'm sure they are both going to look awesome. I wish custom framing wasn't so expensive!

Good luck guys if you're going for the Kill Bill Stout. See you on the battlefield!

600 standard editions is I believe the highest number made for a Stout print so I don't think the prices will be out of control. The variant will probably be limited to 100 or so, those will go super fast. Still though, the standards will sell out in seconds too.

I would love to get the Kill Bill poster for my mom. Her birthday is next sunday, she'll be 60. She absolutely loves KB 1 & 2 and even listens to the soundtracks to them almost daily. Hopefully I'll be able to pick one of these up and get it framed for her. It does look pretty amazing.

Just make sure you are prepared to wait in front of your computer and be super quick, because they really will go fast when they get offered. My guess is about 15-20 seconds is all it will take for them to sell out.

Yeah, I'll have to be waiting around the second they drop. I'm really hoping this works out.

I didn't catch the news that it was today, I had read Stout's website this morning where he said he'd have more news after April 20th, so I assumed that meant Mondo wouldn't be putting them up until then... oops!!!
