I am not going to say the PS3 is the best BD player out there and there is nothing better....but until the necessary countless firmware update threads disappear, just to play the latest BDs, I can't justify spending $500 on something that only plays movies...

It seems like there is no standalone out there that can play every disc without some sort of firmware update...then the next wave of BDs come out in three weeks and thousands of people have problems again until another firmware update is released. I like to play my movies the day I get them....and if a firmware update is needed, I like to get it over ethernet, not waste my time burning discs I will never use again.

And the less than 15 second load time doesn't hurt either....
