What does winning the world series have to do with his comment? hes merely pointing out how horrid Boston has been this year, and to allow 16 runs to a team whos only scored 20 in its first 9 games is just un-called for...

Come on man the Red Sox spent like $300 million or so in the off season, No Excuses, they are just plain terrible right now....

EDIT: as i type that Burrel makes a terrible play in left allowing 2 runs to score.. 5-0 Dodgers

Well that was kind of weird seeing the Giant team do the group hug with Uribe before the game. Pretty classy for them to reject managements idea about the private ceremony. And then both teams basically reminding fans to act like humans. But I guess thats the world we live in.

Gotta love Burrel and Huff in the outfield. I didn't think anyone could out do Huff's performance in LA! Kershaw is just a Giant slayer.

It'll hopefully be a couple of months before I take this av down and put up a Rangers one. Either way, as soon as the Spurs season is over, up go the Rangers. It's nice to have another fan on here. Where were you during the WS? I was getting ganged up on.

Boy, those fans are making the Yankees vs Red Sox fan rivalry look civilized.

I think I posted a few times last season/WS, but I lurk a lot more than I post.

The way the Mavs have been playing recently I don't have a lot of hope for them.

That was nice of the Giants & the fans to welcome Uribe like they did, he was a huge part of our post season success, and couldn't have done it with out him, he will be missed, but now thats all and done with.. we hate him

God we possibly could have the worst outfield in the majors, at least the oldest... what the hell was Burrel thinking charging that ball.... Even so, Kershaw was dealing once again and we had no chance...

They were talking on the radio today about the Rays and apparently Manny Ramirez filed his retirement papers without ever bothering to tell his team. The Rays management supposedly found out about it from media reports. Guess it's only fitting. He left every team he ever played for on terrible terms.

I wonder how much total compensation he got from the Rays for his time spent there.

Looks like he played just 5 games there. His salary for the season was just $2 mill so by my calculations he only pocketed around $61K. So not very much actually. If you want to hear about robbery just ask a Dodgers fan about Manny. I think he hooked them for nearly $50 mill in just over 2 seasons.

Less than Denny Reyes. Reyes would have been paid his full salary of 900K whne he was cut from the Red Sox after just six games, pro-rated over a full season, that's 24.3M.

Manny was due 2m this season, but would only receive money for the games he was active before retiring.
