If you like Anderson's other movies, sure. If not, no.

This is a great Blu-Ray, in fact it was the first Criterion I ever bought. Listening to the commentary after about 9 months (always takes me forever to get around to these things).

Anyways, here's my take on Wes Anderson's filmography:
1. Fantastic Mr. Fox
2. The Darjeeling Limited
3. Bottle Rocket
4. Rushmore
5/6.) The Royal Tennembaums/The Life Aquatic

I like (if not love) all of Wes Anderson's films, so just because The Royal Tennembaums and Rushmore are more towards the bottom doesn't mean I consider them inferior movies. They just don't hit a cord with me the same way those first three do. I'm planing on a Anderson-thon leading up to the release of Moonrise Kingdom (which I'm really excited for).

Default Different back cover art?

Does anybody else have a copy of the Darjeeling Criterion blu-ray with back cover art different to the back cover pictured on this site? In place of the plain blue art pictured here, mine actually has a further illustration of the train cars winding around a bridge and a man is sitting on top of the train with a green shirt seen from behind. Everything else about my disc is the same(features, front cover, etc). I just noticed this recently and have not seen another copy in stores for comparison. I got my copy in early 2011, so it's not from a recent printing that may have had some kind of cover art change. Just wondering if anybody knows what might be going on here.

What you're referring to is more of a paper insert featuring the UPC code and the like. It comes in the plastic wrapping when bought new, but it isn't a part of the actual cover.

Watched this again last night and it still stuns me people consider this "lesser Anderson." It's so damn good. BD looks amazing too.
