And then Nelly belts a 2-run shot! As cool as those homers were, I think I'm most impressed with Ogando. A CG shutout with only 5 hits, 3 BB's, and 6 SO's. Awesome.

LOL, too bad he didn't get a chance to "dine" on them last night. Heck, sooner or later the G-men had to lose a game at home.

Barry Bonds will pay college bills for Bryan Stow’s children

Quote:
Over the past 20 years, Barry Bonds has been met with large amounts of both praise and criticism for nearly every move he has made.

Well, here's a move that both sides should finally be able to agree on: Bonds has pledged to pay any future college bills for the two grade-school age children of Bryan Stow, the single father and San Francisco Giants fan who was beaten into a coma by two men after attending the opening night game at Dodger Stadium on March 31.

One of the coolest parts about this donation is that Bonds made it over a month ago when he visited Stow in a Southern California hospital on April 22. No mention was made to the media then and it looks like it would have still been a secret had Girardi not revealed it to the media. Even if you've always been a Bonds hater, there's no way you can say this wasn't done for all the right reasons.

Hate him or love him, gotta give Bonds props for this...

I'm listening to the Cubs game and at the start of the game it was 41 degrees, very windy, and a wind chill of 35. I thought it was cold here in Iowa where it's around 60 but that's just crazy for late May.

SAN FRANCISCO -- Giants star catcher Buster Posey is likely out for the season with a fractured bone in his lower left leg suffered when Florida's Scott Cousins crashed into him at home plate.

I'm sorry but Giants management are idiots for putting that special of a hitter in the catchers position, especially since he knows how to play other positions. That sucks that he is out for the year.

I would just go home to Alvin, Texas, and build up my arm strength by installing more air-conditioning units in the winter. Now, why don't you just take our $600,000 offer, cover up those tattoos and go work on your cutter."

Hopefully Belt can provide some offense. Any word on us getting Reyes from the Mets? Tejada hasn't exactly worked out.

The McCourt's are in a league of their own at the bottom. They literally did everything possible to destroy the Dogers. Wilpon deserves his spot just aboce last with his terrible ownership of the Mets.

Wow... Just now got to see the video of that collision and Posey got hit as hard as any catcher I've ever seen. The radio made it sound season-ending but now I'm reading 6-8 weeks, which isn't too bad.

Yeah, there was a lot of talk yesterday about whether the rule about collisions at the plate needs to change. Posey's agent think they need to change the collisions rule, and on sports radio shows they were debating whether they should go to the college rule in which a catcher has to choose a side of the plate to stand and if he blocks the plate the runner automatically scores, and if the runner makes contact with a catcher that chooses a side of the plate he is automatically out and ejected. I don't know if that's the answer but it does seem like the collisions are very dangerous for both the catchers and runners.

Collisions are dangerous but its part of the game, as much as i hate to see our star player out.. I dont want the rule changed...
