The Sony BDP-S380 can do both internal decoding of the HD codecs and bitstreaming (http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/...PS380#features ). Make sure it is set to bitstream. If it is, try switching it to LPCM and then back to bitstream. If you still don't see bitstream in the player's sound options, turn off everything, remove the HDMI cable, switch it around and reconnect it and check to see if bitstream is now available.
