OK, the problem has been fixed...

There is a setting in the audio settings called "BD Audio MIX Setting". It is set to "ON" by default.

[On] Outputs the audio obtained by mixing the interactive and secondary audio to the primary audio.
[Off] Outputs the primary audio only. Select this to output HD audio signals to an AV amplifier (receiver).

I don't really understand the 'on' option.

I switched it to "OFF" and all is good now! Thanks for all your help guys.
