Default Somthing odd about the Rock on Blu-ray but don't worry.

I was on the Disney/Touchstone website last night and noticed that was a little odd. When I looked at the specs the audio was 4.6 MBPS as opposed to there regular 6.9 MPBS. The PCM is probably going to blow our minds. I wonder why that would be, maybe the original audio of the movie. It may also be that Touchstone is also porting over all of the special features of the Criterion Edition release minus the DTS track of course onto a single disk or is it a dual disk? I payed $ 50 to get the Criterion Edition second hand, now I will get basically the Criterion Edition on Blu for half that.

I watched it yesterday. PQ is the best I've seen that film look. The DD 5.1 is good. It's worth buying.

Sadly enough I never even realized that there WAS a criterion release of it...glad I didn't buy it though, cause I'm going to get this release.

Default I have the Criterion release

there are a TON of extras on the disc. BD was well suited for this kind of a full featured release (if they did indeed bring all of the extras over). I haven't watched the extras in (literally) years but if I remember correctly there is a whole hour on Israeli shooting techniques in close quarters combat with pistols.

I got the Rock last week. The PQ is solid, but I was very disappointed with the audio...

Awesome review, I am definitely going to pick The Rock up! Gotta support Blu's most outspoke supporter, Michael Bay.
