Two come to mind...

Dirty Dancing - Almost made me vow to never buy a movie on BD that was made in the 80's ever again, but Black Rain & Coming to America gave me hope and I changed my mind.

Blood Diamond - Had the potential to be a great reference BD but the transfer is no where near consistent throughout the movie. Still love the movie though.

i agree that stealth is god awful. however, stealth is one of the best pq out there, and one scene has jessica beil in a nice skimp swimsuit in a waterfall area. a COMPLETELY pointless scene. i am happy they put it in

With regards to PQ of old movies, I don't know what people expect of them. The fact is optics and film have come a long way in the past decade or two. We have better film that lasts longer and gets better exposure with less light, etc. Plus a movie camera with a $30,000 prime lens (just the cost of the lens) is probably going to capture a slightly better image than a lesser priced camera. I doubt Robocop used the same equipment as, let's say, Indiana Jones 3 for example. Just my two cents.

300. For some reason I couldnt really see a difference between it and a DVD. When I thought it would be one of those movies that would look AMAZING in Blu. Hell the "Legendary Pictures" logo was more high def then the movie itself.

Far and beyond, I would say the fifth element (before the remaster). I was pissed off enough about that one that I returned it. Combine the terrible theater quality PQ and dirty masters with the fact it only ever played once on the samsung 1200 i had at the time, I actually returned it to the store demanding credit for something else.

I haven't really been disapointted with much of the ones I've watched so far. I think maybe my problem is I get too engrossed in the film to really notice if picture quality is bad, unless it's really bad. The joy of Blu-ray is that the really awesome looking scenes snap me out of that film engrossed daze long enough to say "WOW."

Ok, Ok, I'll admit it was a cut above DVD, but it was a thin cut. The color was great and so on, but this was NOT a great blu-ray title quality wise.

Alright...I KNOW I will get flamed for this one.

But after being a HUGE battle, sci-fi, fantasy fan...the movie that most disappointed me...

300

Why you ask?

I let the build up raise the bar WAY to high and after I saw it...honestly I was just let down. I thought there would be SO much more then there was.

Story just lacked, existence.

Don't get me wrong it was a good movie...I don't know what I expected in the end, but that was not it. Kind of like Transformers. Really missing something.

Let the flames begin.

Yeah, it was weird. Maybe I need to see it again, but for some reason the PQ didn't "pop" like it has with all of my other BD titles. It's sounds corny, but I couldn't get into the movie because I kept thinking about the picture quality.
