Its nothing like the TX-SR705. The only thing they share in common is the "Onkyo" branding.

The TX-SR705 is a whole other beast to itself. It decodes all the newest audio codecs, its THX certified, and has more power.

I agree My friend has 705 ... I wanted a bit more output so went for 875
