[Show spoiler]I think they also explained in the movie how Aberforth got Sirius' mirror. Agreed on the part removing Dumbledore's back story. I think Goyle replaced Crabbe's position there, since I hadn't seen him in the movie. The scene after Voldemort died just changed, they were supposed to be in Dumbledore's office, Harry was supposed to repair his wand using the Elder Wand, Harry was supposed to put the Elder Wand back to Dumbledore's tomb. Instead, he broke the wand and threw it. (What wand is he gonna use now? lol) Though I like the fact that they added the scene in the Chamber of Secrets.

Actually, the problem is that we did not hear about the mirror in the Order of the Phoenix movie. That was just in the book.

my bad!!!!! you're right! I was thinking of the scene where sirius showed him the picture of the order. I heard all the books in audiobook form before watching Part 2, I guess it affected my memory of the movies :P

I guess that's the problem when we read the books and watch the movie, it gets us confused with infos that are on the book but we assume it's in the movie. lol. I believe I remembered Sirius giving Harry that mirror and say his name, in case Umbridge does anything cruel or sth. But Sirius told Harry not to tell Molly about that. It was in Christmas, I think? That's of course, from the book.

I believe so, considering the fact that OotP is the longest book in the series and that the 45-minute-deleted-scenes speculations. And that's the reason why most of us are in deep need of extended cuts for OotP, and the rest too.

Don't forget too that in HBP it McGonagal asks harry about his aspiration of becoming an auror. But in Order we get no such scenes concerning this.

Well I hadn't read any of the books before seeing the films up to Half-Blood Prince and I had no problem following anything in the films. I think reading the books first is more frustrating because you think details from the books should be there but aren't, yet without this knowledge you never realize anything is missing. Probably why Goblet of Fire is one of my favorites of the films yet that's where the book fans started complaining about too many cuts.

For the record, I have now read all the books, and pretty much agree by and large with how the films dealth with cutting the story. The only thing I felt was a real problem was some alterations done to Half-Blood Prince, which I still think is a great film despite those issues.

If the UK never gets the UE's, then I'll have a thing or two to say to WB. Why, of course, would they release the UE's of a British film in Britain? That obviously makes no sense, so just release it everywhere else.

I'm just desperate for as much Potter as possible.

Order Of The Phoenix obviously needs it though, it's a crime that that footage is just "gathering dust" on someone's harddrive.

That makes complete sense! I completely forgot that Harry Potter is a British film. I'm just hoping that someone put their foot down regarding the UK when they found out the Ultimate Edition's wouldn't be that Ultimate, and hopefully, now that David Yates has finished DH Part 2 he will have the time to go back and extend OOTP at least. We do need an extended cut, especially all the stuff at the ministry of magic that was in the book but got canned.

I'm not saying that when the UK gets the Ultimate Edition's they will be extended, I'm saying perhaps the UK wont get the Ultimate Edition's but rather the Even MORE Ultimate Editions when they eventually come out in the US, with extended movies... in 3D!

I emailed WB a while back about the whole UE thing. They said they might or might not do it in the UK, after Part II is released, then they'll decide. I then told them it makes no sense not releasing the UE's in the UK. We'll see if they do release them.

Well, I'm glad I know, so I don't have to waste any more time being curious about it. Amazing that even with 4.5 hours to tell one book, they still can't explain the supposed plot incidents.

It's easy to infer, though, that

[Show spoiler]Dumbledore planted it in Harry's stuff. Aberforth tells Harry that Albus was aware of the mirror and specifically told him not to tell Harry about it should they meet.
