Cool stat here, according to Joe Block of ABC, Kershaw, he has a 1.41 ERA against the Giants for his career which makes that an MLB record. Unreal.

Ive never seen the Giants struggle vs a pitcher more than Clayton Kershaw, i mean we'll take on the likes of Roy Holliday or Cliff Lee with ease... but when Kershaw is facing us, im almost expecting a loss...

I wouldn't call it huge. A definite improvement but nowhere near huge. More and more Jimenez's 2010 season is looking like a fluke. Since the midway point last season he's been quite mediocre. Probably at best a 3.50 ERA type of guy in NY.

You have to take into effect the hand injury he was dealing with earlier this year, hes been much improved over the past month or so... if they get Ubaldo, he immediately be in that #2 spot right after CC..

I would say yes and no. My real concern is if and when the wheels would fall off Colon and Garcia (I was starting to think that it has already happening to Colon).

It was cool but let's be honest, it was against the AL's bottom feeders. Still, that many shutouts was cool.

Man i really hope the Giants can trade for some offense before the deadline, Beltran would be a huge pickup, or even Pence, whos appearntly on the market now... With our pitching staff we can still do some damage in the playoffs this year, BUT only if we can improve our offense somehow...

According to Andy Martino of the New York Daily News, the Giants and Mets are having difficulty matching up on a trade involving Carlos Beltran.
The Giants are willing to assume most or all of the $6 million left on Beltran's contract, but won't give a high-end prospect in exchange for a rental. Of course, this won't help their chances of landing him. The Mets are hoping to land a top prospect, not salary relief, in a deal for Beltran.

Giants are built to win right now, and need to make this trade happen... i would give up anyone but Belt, we have some other really good prospects in our farm system we can part with... Hope they can get a deal done...

The LAPD has arrested 2 suspects in the opening day beating of Giants fan Bryan Stow and no longer consider Giovanni Ramirez, who they arrested in May for the attack, as responsible for the arrest. Ramirez remains in custody for a parole violation for having guns at the home he was staying when he was arrested. Since Ramirez's arrest police have said numerous times they were confident that Ramirez was the attacker despite numerous witnesses saying he wasn't at the game, no evidence to prove he was at the game, cell phone records showing he wasn't at the game, and Ramirez passing 2 lie detector tests.

According to ESPN's Buster Olney, the Carlos Beltran sweepstakes has been narrowed down to five teams.
That would be the Red Sox, Giants, Phillies, Braves and Rangers. Olney reports the Pirates and Indians are "basically out of the conversation." The Giants have the greatest need, but all five clubs should have the pieces to land Beltran if they are serious about making a deal.
