Yes it was a Mondo release. Early 2010.

They also did a 20 run of a metal variant, only available in person.

That's interesting I thought they didn't ship Internationally, maybe Canada is an exception. Yeah, it takes about a month for them to get stuff shipped out even to U.S. addresses, they get quite backlogged it seems. Your framed Mondo prints look great, congrats. I have been debating getting my Iron Man 2 metal framed, just a matter of time, and cost right now.

Yeah starting with this T2 metal Mondo announced they would not ship any metal posters out, that they would be pick-up only. There were too many issues with their first metal release (Stout's Robocop) with shipping charges being high, and damages reported, so they decided to nix the whole shipping process for future metal prints. The Iron Man 2 metal was released in June 2010 and was part of their grand re-opening of their store after they remodeled, there was quite a line out the door for one I heard. They made 65 of them, but only had 27 for sale. The metal ones are really quite unique, that Robocop one was pretty cool, but I never ended up getting one.

Anyone know if the seller hollywoodnoise on ebay is legit or not?

Looking for an original Sweeney Todd poster to add to my collection, I want to display it with the Hot Toys figure I bought.

Not sure how much you are looking to spend on it, but I took all of my Star Wars posters to Frame & Save on Kenwood RD. They did a great job and it ended up being around $70 per poster.

When a dealer advertises a poster on eBay that is 24x40 and claims it is an original U.S. theatrical style, it makes you wonder just how much that dealer knows about the product they are selling. From what I know, yes that seller does have originals and has had original International styles which have been harder for other dealers to get, but when they were selling Dark Knight single-sided 24x40 styles which weren't U.S. styles and claiming they were, it makes you scratch your head and wonder.

Which Sweeney Todd were you looking for? For the record, there were two styles made for the U.S. release (one advance/one final), but then there was also a San Diego Comic-Con single-sided only giveaway poster at the convention before the film opened. That version was of Depp sitting in a chair looking at you, to my knowledge that poster wasn't made double-sided.

The U.S. advance style featured the back of Depp walking with a switchblade in hand off in the distance, and the final style featured a close-up of his face looking at you. Jon, if you want, email me directly, and I can send you images and more info.

Congrats, just make sure when you frame it, don't let the framer drymount it...because it is then worthless. Make sure you have it loose between the acid-free backing (specify you want acid-free backing by the way) and the glass/plexi-glass. If you are going to put it where a lot of sunlight will be in the room, go with UV-glass or UV-plexiglass.

Why would it be worthless?

When you dry mount a poster, or a print to a Styrofoam backing, it alters the original appearance of it. Remember this process is permanent too, they spray an adhesive to the foam board, and then place the poster/print on top of it, place it in some type of vacuum suction press and that's that. Once you have done that, the collectibility of the poster/print is pretty much thrown out the window. I only reason to dry mount something is to take out any small ripples, etc, but the downside is again...it's permanent. If you want to do it to an inexpensive poster, that's fine but anything of "value" that increases over time, won't, because you would have altered the original print/poster. But of course, I am but one opinion, anyone is free to do what they wish, I just don't do it myself.

I take all my posters to a small local guy in town here, who's been doing posters and framing for over 20 years.

To get my non-collectible reprints dry-mounted it costs about 50$ a poster without a frame.

To get my Mondo's framed without dry-mounting, acid free backs, over-sized mattes and over-sized custom frames and glass it costs 130$.

Just to give an idea on how much I spend for them.

Whatever you do, do not dry-mount your Mondo's! Hopefully the people helping you getting them framed will realize that they are numbered and highly collectible and warn you against getting them dry-mounted.

You spend $50 to have a reprint drymounted? Ouch. Last time I checked into it for curiosity sake, it was around $20. For that $50 price plus the cost of the reprint, you could star collecting originals and keep them rolled.

Yes, certainly don't drymount any Mondo prints either people, those are generally very limited.

Just got my first order from Kinsella and I couldn't be happier! I picked up the Dark Knight Rises advance from him and it arrived today packed quite literally to perfection. It is now hanging in my back lit movie poster box but I can't take a picture I'm afraid, my camera is still on holidays with the remainder of my family Thanks Kinsella!!!

Thanks Roar for the kind words, glad it arrived safely. I still kind of laugh when I see what others are charging for Dark Knight Rises....I mean $130 from MoviePoster.com??? Sure it may be that price someday but that day isn't today.

Finally have my Stout Captain America framed. It hangs between my TDKR and GL posters. The Cap poster really stands out.

Very nice! I got my shipping notice, but I'm afraid mine will sit in the tube for at least a couple of more months while I work on the theatre and save up some cash for the framing.

I've got 3 to frame right now, the Captain America, the Kill Bill and Danny Miller's Mean Maxine, which I can't believe is still up for sale on his site. $45 shipped anywhere is a steal for that thing, it is a 10 colour print and looks just awesome.
