I'd be shocked if anyone had one on here that was willing to part with it. The Robocop Stout metal can fetch $2000 or higher, the last one that sold on eBay went for that and remember there were only 35 made. Supposedly there are 10 artist proofs versions out there but I can't confirm that. The T2 Ken Taylor metal variant only saw 20 made but seem to go for a lot less.

Mondo won't ship metal variants anymore, they stopped doing that after the Robocop one, they now say you have to pick it up in person at their store in Austin Texas. Luckily I have the Iron Man 2 Stout Metal, only 65 of them were made, it's pretty nice in person.

New Fright Night 27 x 40 Poster

Anyone happen to get the Mondo Poster for Dumbo. I had everything set to go with the Dumbo Poster in my shopping cart a second after it was avaiable. Then everything went to hell. It wouldn't take my credit card then I went through pay pal and that was too slw and I lost it. realized after I had one number wrong. Went trough the number 5 times each time before submitting it and still didn't catch it. I'm really bummed out. Dumbo was a big part of childhood so I was so excited about this sale. I looked on ebay and I'm not paying over $100 for it right after loosing it. Especially from someone wo bought a bunch of copies and then scappled it at the last minute. Ridiculous!!! Sorry for the rant.

We really should setup some sort of network... I didn't even try for dumbo because I wasn't intersted in it, but today I could have tried if I'd of known someone here wanted one. Maybe we should start another Mondo specific thread where people could post to if they want a particular title and if others here had time to try and get one they could pass it along at cost? Just a thought. We would probably have to pay double shipping though, because although I'm willing to pass it along at cost I'm not looking to eat shipping costs so it would cost to get it shipped to me and then cost to get it shipped to you kind of thing. By that time you may be close to the $100 after market price, so maybe this is a bad idea

This movie scared the heck out of me when I was a kid... I think I was 10 at the time. Great movie a good looking poster, I'm sure it would freak my kids out now.

With so many on ebay I bet they won't stay too high very long. You may try this other poster site I've been frequenting, http://www.expressobeans.com, a lot of people on there will buy for others or have extras they will use to trade with others. They hate the flippers on ebay on that site so if you can get connected with someone it should be a fair deal.

Sorry to hear that happened to you snsguy and i feel your pain as i've only been able to score one mondo poster on a ridiculous amount of attempts. The eBay flippers are hard to get by on these releases. Tom Whalen may eventually put it up on his site for sale down the line even though it will be higher in price it will still no doubt be cheaper than what the flippers on eBay are charging. I'm still waiting for sideshow collectibles to put up that variant of his Steamboat Willie that was promised months ago.

I do believe you that there must be a group of people on expressobeans that trade and sell to eachother at a reasonable markup, but if you check the 'for sale' posts there you will see the majority of them aren't out to help anyone, they know what they have and they know what its worth.

I've also PM'd numerous people there in the past about prints they apparently have for sale but I have never heard back from a single one of them... of course I only have a couple of posts there and have not been a member long, but my general feeling is you would need to establish yourself as a member there for some time before you'd be in a position for anyone to hook you up. Where as there a number of regular posters in this thread here where I would gladly 'hook up' with a print if I got one that I didn't want.

Generally speaking though I don't even attempt to buy anything I'm not interested in because I'm not in the business of flipping posters for a couple of bucks, though if I knew someone here was looking for one I'd give it a try and sell it to them at cost if I had the time to try.

I found a seller on eBay that have some Underworld posters I want but they are single sided originals and not double sided. Were single sided posters sent to theaters as well?

Never use Paypal for a Mondo drop, because in most cases Paypal takes too long and by the time you get routed in and then out and back to Mondo's site, the print would be sold out. Wait a bit, prices are always high soon after the sell out, but then on some, including these Disney ones, they will slowly come down, the market for it will then be quiet, and then collectors will find out about them who weren't aware and the prices will slowly increase, or rapidly increase for others.

They hate the flippers until they flip themselves, which some on there do who are vocal about others doing it and how wrong it is but then they turn around and do it themselves. Some good people on that site, it is an extremely knowledgeable site with some dedicated people who will help newbies out, but the flip side is there are also some very rude and condescending people who think they are better than others, but that is probably common just about everywhere nowadays.

I would not be surprised if a lot of people have forgotten about that promised variant. It could possibly be that Sideshow's arrangement with Mondo is that they will offer their variants after Mondo has concluded their Disney classics run of prints. Who knows for sure though....

I don't think anyone could have said it better than what Roar said. Many of them on there do sell for a large profit, but I don't fault anyone for that. "Flipping" is not illegal, it's something a person has every right to do. If I choose not to buy something because it is much higher, that is my right, but a person can buy and sell anything they want and re-sell at a higher price if they want. That doesn't mean anyone should be attacked or flamed for doing so, it's just the way things are. I have people who flip posters they have gotten from me and I am quite fine with it, the more power to them, because once I sell something and I profit from it, the new buyer should have that right as well, and so on, and so forth. Profit should not stop with the initial seller, that just wouldn't be right. If a person is willing to pay for something and spend more than others, then that is up to the individual buyer, etc.

I too have spoken with a number of people who for the most part never hear back from people that have a print listed for sale, or a posting that someone has made in the "Wanted" section. Not sure why people go through the steps to list one for sale/trade or wanted, when they can't have the common courtesy to respond to a potential customer.

Single sided originals do exist, they aren't sent to theaters (anymore that is) but remember double-sided didn't really start until around 1988 but some studios continued to produce single-sided only. Miramax Pictures didn't really start with double-sided until 1995, which meant their films like Pulp Fiction, The Crow, and others never even saw double-sided ones being produced. Single-sided are easily replicated though, more so than double-sided, but single-sided originals do exist, and for the Underworld films.

Remember that is only the teaser advance, expect another style before the film to be released and perhaps it will be a cast of characters, but to my knowledge Cruise has been the only one featured on all the posters for the first three films, perhaps they will change that. Saw what you will about Cruise though, I personally think the guy pours his heart and soul into his films, and I am looking forward to MI:4.
