Do you have evidence for this? Even if percentages are higher for 2D since 3D tickets are more expensive that can still gross more in 3D

Not that it even matters because its about grosses not percentages. If a 3D movie grosses a billion dollars even if the 3D premiums make up only 20% of ticket sales that is still a huge profit that well exceeds the small cost 3D ads to the production of movies

With more failures like Pirates of the Carribean 4 and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow who needs successes
