There is no evidence 3D is fadding at all. Even with numerous botched efforts such as overly-dim projecters in my theaters, sub-par conversions, and 3D being wasted on terrible movies and yet big movies still bank in 3D premiums far more then the cost 3D added to the production. Not a single big summer blockbuster was a bust in 3D all managed to rank in millions in profit from 3D premiums even before the additional profit from the 3D Blu-Rays

Keep dreaming thats its fading

3D haters can't seem to keep anything strait. One minute they will critize 3D because of too many conversions and then they will complain when a movie announces native 3D. They will complain that 3D has too many pop out effects and then call 3D movies without pop out effects "pointless 3D."

How anyone can post on Blu-Ray.com and be so opposed to home theater advancements that make movies more lifelike is bizzare.

Like i stated many times, i dont hate 3D its just not for me, it hurts my eyes and gives me a headache.. It has nothing to do with not being able to adapt to change, i adapted from VHS to DVD to BD just fine, and adapted to many other things in my life without any issues.. My issue with 3D is that whenever I want to see a movie when its in 3D at my theater they are usually only playing it in 2D a few times a day, I like to take my father to the movies every now and then, and when he is interested in a title thats playing in 3D we usually have to pass because its not being shown in 2D, and dont say its the area where i live because i live in NY the WORLDS biggest market, you would think they would give us options!.. This reminds me of when HD DVD was around and people were getting all defensive when other people would bring up how HD DVD is a fad and is dying, I understand why people would get defensive and angry over taht, they spent all this money on a new product that could of had the potential of fading out, and sure enough it did.. I hope 3D stays around for all you guys that wasted money on it, it would suck for all of you guys if did in fact faded out. I believe Studios are turning these catalog titles into 3D and bringing them back into theaters to see if 3D really can work, its a test. Personally I think if Lion King, Titanic and Top Gun all bomb in the theaters in 3D you will start seeing less and less new movies coming out in theaters being 3D.. Thats just me
