The only lived action films released this year to have the majority of grosses come from 3-D were Transformers and Thor. Pirates, Potter, Cap, etc. all had less than 50% of the grosses come from 3-D. Here's the breakdown of the percentage of 3-D for the big movies this past summer:

Transformers - 60%
Thor - 60%
Pirates - 46%
Potter - 43%
Captain America - 40%

Notice how while the summer drags on, the percentages keep dropping for each big movie, only one of which, Transformers, successfully utilized the 3-D camera system. The rest were conversions and sloppy conversions at that. Pirates, which I heard had awful 3-D was actually shot in 3-D, but that didn't seem to make much of a difference.

Every single one of the movies you listed grossed more in 3D premiums then 3D added to the production. Therefore the 3D on all those titles was a success. It doesn't matter if 3D gets a majority of sales all that matters is that the revenue from 3D exceeds the cost. And it almost always does with a few horrible flops as exceptions

Also half of Transformers 3 was converted and I challenge anyone to tell the difference between the native 3D and the converted parts
