This is not a debate that can be meaningfully won by the lcd side. At the absolute best of each format plasma technology beats lcd technology. Period. Black levels, color reproduction, screen consistency, etc. But lcd is cheaper and has taken most of the lower end market already. A good comparison here is the Blu-ray vs. HD DVD one. Plasma is to Blu-ray as lcd is to HD DVD with regards to picture quality.
