It's like how the Blu-Ray / Hd DVD war is right now... based mainly by support of studios and exclusivity.

Again meh, the above holds true, the 3'rd parties are coming over as we speak, and turning to PS3 as the lead platform such as with burnout.

The inclusion of the massive exclusives was to indicate that 2008 will be the year the PS3 truly blossoms.. and it only gets easier to develop for as the months and years tick by, ergo that becomes less of a factor in any argument.
It also leads to tapping the greater potential of the Cell etc.
2009 should really be the tipping point in my estimation.

Also another good point but maybe this is the year that the PS3 does blossom but we must hope that there are no more delays in there games and that they all come out for a great '08 line-up. But the Gears or War prequel or sequel might come out and the original being a HUGE hit is going to definitely going to put up a fight.

That's part of their company policy. They don't 'buy' exclusives or 'bribe' 3rd party devs to not put out a title on the competitors system. It might not always be good business, but it is at least commendable if you have morals. They let the console speak for itself. It is just taking longer this round for the PS3 to find its voice, and as everyone seems to agree on including Xbox magazines is that she is about to sing.

It's been what, a year since the PS3 was released? You're acting like they came out at the same time. 360 has reached it's peak and no other game but Halo 4 and GoW2 will sell systems anymore.

PS3 started out bad undeniably because of the expensive price tag. Now they've cut the price considerably and they'll be dropping their AAA titles on us this year with more to come in 09. 08 is the PS3's year, no doubt.

Microsoft can only make so many shooters to sell systems. There's nothing that appeals to me on the 360. They better start hyping GoW2 because what else do they have on the horizon? Fable 2 and Gaiden 2 are the only games I'm interested in, but not nearly enough for me to gamble on Microsoft's poorly made hardware.


Oh yeah.. and MS better PRAY they don't release a FF7 remake. ~FACT~

I am not acting that they came out the same time it's that within the same time frame as the 360 did, a little around a year for GoW, the PS3 was unable to roll out a strong enough title to draw many gamers to it's console... Lair was solid but annoying for some controls, Uncharted was a decent game... short though, and Ratchet and Clank I have to give props to for still going strong! And as for a poorly made hardware... i will admit that the PS3 is made with much better parts and can produce a picture that the 360 cannot achieve but you cannot say that there has not been games that not impressed you... because if so, then I call BS!

You're right... Castlevania SOTN on xbl did make me want a 360 for a short time. But I just played it again on an emulator and satisfied my needs.

I can honestly say SOTN was the only game on the 360 that I really, really wanted. 360 just isn't for me. The majority of their top titles are FPS, which I find repetitive and would rather play on my PC. Like you said, it's all opinions right?

There you backed yourself up! That's what you need to state... is why... You told me you'd rather play fps on your pc which totally eliminates a 360... BUT by saying "the 360 is a poorly made piece of hardware" is an opinion with nothing to back it up. Yes failure rate was high and is steadily lowering but as for the 3 3.2 processors supply a sufficient picture quality as of one that competes with my $1400 PC i build, it can't be that bad... that's why i attacked. Is that a person can speaks ones mind but if not able to back his opinion with logical explanation does not get heard or proven that the ones opinion is wrong.

Woah relax buddy! I am rooting for the PS3 along with the 360. And as for a FFVII, the correct way of spelling it, remake THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!!! It only gets better from here for the PS3 as a masterful piece of hardware (gaming, entertainment or otherwise) where as the 360 is the same soup warmed over, I.E., 360 Elite.

I own both and I think Sony had guts to manufacture a box with so many innovations and capability to mold in several directions. What do you want to use your PS3 for today, Linux, Blu-Ray, DVD, Media etc.?

I'd say that's pretty damn impressive that 3 new IP's spawn on the Playstation 3 and yet they are already getting sequals.

I also hope you know that im fixed on JRPG's. The Xbox 360 has little reception because it's a western made console. If the support isn't there, why should I buy one? Final Fantasy 13 in on the PS3 and not the 360. Makes sense right? Same thing will be for Star Ocean 4 and god knows how many other RPG's will spawn by the time 2009 ends. Ironically, I bought a PS2 in 2001 for Metal Gear Solid 2 and Final Fantasy 10. Same thing happened with PS3.

Trust me, as far as games go, that's the first thing I argue. Never mind all the gadgets and gizmos included with the system.

I dont care too much about games that are 6 months or older, and I dont care much for FPS. I didnt buy an xbox360 then.... why would they make me want one now?

Couldn't have said it better myself. I bought the PS3 for two reasons -- Blu-Ray and Japanese games. Every PS3 owner I know bought the console for the same two reasons. I have nothing against the games, but my personal preferences don't lie with games like Halo, Gears, and Bioshock. I am a hardcore Metal Gear, FF, and Gran Turismo fan. As far as gaming, the PS1, PS2, and the PS3 won me over just for those games alone.

I won't comment on the 360's fail rate, because my first PS3 died on me. However, I do know five 360 owners and 4 of them have had multiple RRoD's. All I can say is that I am greatly satisfied with my PS3, the games available, the Blu-Raying, not to mention the upcoming titles have me pure giddy. I personally believe the PS3 has the momentum going into 2008. PS Home is also going to be a great inclusion and should definitely spark more interest in the console. I know I'm excited for it. Blu-Ray's victory should do some positive things, also.

Not really impressive, some games have sequels being plan from the start. All of these were planned as a trilogy from the start; Resistance: Fall of Man, Mass Effect, Gears of War, Heavenly Sword, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, etc...

Xbox 360 has been making some headway in JRPG's, it's alot better than original Xbox in this area.

I'm not saying that all of these are (or are going to be) good, but the Xbox 360 does have some JRPGs.

I would have said it myself but I didn"t want to waste my time having most reply's stating that those suck. But as for when people mention the fact of what kind of games into put them what GAME CONSOLE they should play. JRPG's are great! Grandia II, FF Series, Dragon Quest, ect... All amazing!

Like I said though The 360 is NOT a piece of shit. It's should based on prefference of games whither it shooters, rpgs, mmo's, reat tiem strats, and ect. You need to remember even though the 360 and Ps3 are enemys... They were both created to Mainly outdo the PC. It's all based on support.

The only thing is that the 360 is an amazing gaming console you all should admit that because until the PS3 pushes out better games it's will only be a good blue-ray player considering that's all people use it for, for now that is.
