It is good to know that neutral sites are now taking a stand and picking a side to expidite the end of the drainig format war. HD DVD is now so far gone, it would be wrong to advertise to unknowing consumers.

What cracks me up about how his decision is being villified over on HDDigest, is how juvenile the attacks are.

I guess the RED-rum elite have reached the bottom of the barrel for members. Those with a decent intellectual capacity have seen the writing on the wall and have fled the sinking ship.

Oh, and it was good to see other Blu-ray.com members in there sticking up for Bill. He deserves our support.

You really want a good laugh? Check out the posts by someone named Deadmeat... funny shit.

Anywho, anyone and everyone {who's able to obviously} should go over there and defend Bill from the stupid... er... the HD-DVD fanboy shills that are sucking at Amir's teat and likely getting paid to be HD-DVD fans on forums.

I wonder how many of them are the same person, using a different screen name, just to make it seem as though hd dvd has fans.

Deadmeat somehow escaped banishment and began posting there yet again about a new Toshiba technology that is superior to upconverting. His intent was to say that High-def optical media is not needed, which backfired on him as he basically smacked down his own beloved HD-DVD format. Go figure ).

Bill Hunt is getting a lot of support over there. Unfortunately, no matter how cogent of an argument is presented, it's like talking to a rock (I take that back, a rock has much more going for it than those HD-DVD fanbois).

My ignore list at highdefdigest is up to 125 hardcore reds. most everything in that whole thread was just a "This message is hidden because <user name> is on your ignore list."
Its quite fun over there when you only get to see the Blu and/or rational side of the conversation

Spider, your post in there about the Digital Bits piece stirring up the "red ants nest", which was reflected on your ignore list, was effin' hilarious.

Deadmeat is an idiot. There are few people on this planet that I'll say that about and actually mean it.

I'd say we need to rally a few more troops to head over there and 'chat' with the HD-DVD folks.

While it is true that Rocks have more intelligence {and are better at chess} than your average HD-DVD fan, every piece of stupidity should be smacked back into place as the simple FUD it is.

I mean some of the Hardcore reds over there seem to think that Toshiba's new firesale 'everything must go from Crazy Ken's discount HD-DVD warehouse and orphanarium" strategy is going to actually keep HD-DVD in the game.

Unfortunately for them {and fortunately for Blu-Ray} as cheap as you make the players the media also has to come down in price otherwise it is just spinning your wheels and wasting everyone's time.

Too funny!

Yeah, we are pretty well represented over there, fightin' the fight. I have to admit, a couple of the latest blasts against Bill and the Bits, while I may not agree with them, were at least presented with a degree of competence that may have eluded a rock.

EDIT: Argh, just when I thought their debating skills may have risen a level, an HD-DVD dork posted something crude about Bill and a phallic object. Oh well.

I applaud Bill for making this decision. It is very rare for a businessman to refuse advertisement especially when it is really not in his best interest to do so. This has shown Bill's integrity and character in the best light. Thank you Bill for helping putting this war to an end.

It's the right decision and I applaud them. The Bits continues to be a class site.
