Just wondering if you have an opinion on allmoviereplicas.com? I'm actually looking for places to get lightboxes, and they do carry a selection. Since they also deal in posters I thought maybe you'd have an idea about them.

I'm looking to lightboxes since most anything beyond a basic crappy Michael's 27x40 frame seems to be $200+, and I figure if it's going to go in that direction I may as well just look to lightboxes.

Any other suggestions for places to get a decent lightbox? I noticed Mr. Poindexter on here got his from displays2go.com but had some trouble with sizing there. It's pretty hard to find these for a decent price that won't kill you with shipping as well. I don't really have the means or the ambition to build them at this time...

No opinion on AllMovieReplicas, they appear legit but I don't know of anyone who has done any business with them. I believe there are a number of places that offer light box frames, I don't use them, but I have to imagine there are higher quality ones and lesser quality ones. Hopefully someone can point out places that deal with the higher quality ones but I am sure many people here would appreciate hearing the negatives too.

I wasn't familiar with the movie... I'll keep an out for it, I like Freida Pinto.

On another note, did anyone get in on the Mondo drop this morning? A co-worker of mine is a big big fan of the movie and was able to get a standard print, needless to say he was pretty stoked, I took a pass... I really liked the variant but I haven't even seen the movie.

I don't see what the problem is with the eBay sellers, I just searched there and found no less than 9 being sold for as little as 15 bucks shipped, all by "Top Rated Sellers"

I think you are seeing 11x17 reprints or theater giveaways or even the "silk posters" which are not official movie posters being sold for $15. For the life of me, I don't see any original authentic ones being sold for $15 shipped. Remember don't go based on a title alone, always read the item descriptions on eBay, that is how some collectors get duped because they go by a seller's title and not description.

Ultimately if I had to say any one person could be legit is the eBay seller saintmartin20005. He states he has them for sale and I have no reason to doubt they aren't legit. It appears Sony made one domestic style and one international style with the international one being the image of Kate pointing her guns at you and says "Coming Soon" at the bottom. This seller has both for sale and while his international style isn't worded properly, I did message him letting him know the style's proper name, will see if he responds, but if I had to pick one seller, of the few that have them for sale, I would say he is probably the most legit.

I didn't try for it, looking at what they fetching for on eBay for the variant...wow, $500-$600 completed auctions. Insane. I am sure when they do one for Howl's Moving Castle it will be rather big too.

I just typed in "Underworld Awakening Movie Poster" in the search box (without the quotes) and the auctions came up. If you type in Underworld double sided you probably would get any/all of the Underworld films, but sometimes sellers dont state double or single sided in their listings so those would not pop up probbaly either.

The weird thing about the saintmartin seller is I checked 4 different poster and each on says "7 available"....isn't that kind of weird?

Yeah, I noticed that as well... he even has The Rear Window as a Double Sided original poster but as it was made in the late 50's I thought DS posters weren't made until the early 90's.

I was able to get the Mission Impossible Imax midnight poster today. They were handing them out after the 1:10 showing. Poster isn't 27x40 but looks to be more of a 17x26, around there. I got the black version, I didn't see any of the red...

I like to search 'double sided' as to not waste my time or try and guess what people have for sale. I figure if 'double sided' is in the auction body it is likely a more accurate description, or at least one I can go back to the seller on if it shows up not being double sided to get my money back... unless of course the body says "NOT" double sided but at least my search filters out a lot of the noise.

I had emailed the seller via eBay and explained that one of his styles was an International, not a domestic, but he never bothered to respond, even after I said I could potentially send him some business. I guess maybe I am different than most in that if someone was to contact me and said they were willing to send customers my way, I would be grateful and at least respond, but he hasn't as of yet and its been three days. I don't know of the seller, I don't have anything positive or negative to say about them, but at the same time I know you, and others want that poster, and at this time it's a poster I can't help anyone out with.

If the seller offers any type of refund if it isn't as stated, that is an option as well, and while I can't confirm or deny his are reprints, I can't imagine someone would be so blatant about listing something as an original if it was a reprint, but the flip side of that coin is I can believe it, just look at dealers like MovieGoods.

I really don't know what to tell people on this one, if the seller responds, I will post here, but so far nothing from them.

No problem, but honesty I don't think you will have to worry about paying $100 for that poster later down the road. The higher prices are for the original Underworld and then the international final style for Underworld Evolution, that is a hard poster to find nowadays.

The Rear Window posters they have listed appear to be from the re-release, not the original release. If they were originals they would have been folded, but classic films are often re-released with new posters created, double and single-sided, and this is one such case as that.

Looking at his auctions, I don't see any reason to doubt his/her Underworld posters aren't legit. The only thing so far that I saw that I take exception of are the single-sided character style posters he has listed for Thor. There were no such posters made for the domestic release, those could be international character styles, if that was the case, the seller should list them as such and not as U.S. styles. Single-sided for a film such as Thor would generally mean convention giveaways or advance screening giveaways, not saying they aren't original, but for the U.S. release they didn't do character advances.

I think you should be ok going with ordering the Underworld one from them, but if you email them asking for confirmation and they don't bother to respond, then personally, I wouldn't give them the business.
