I would think the best way to go about something that isn't spot on dimension wise is have it custom framed, this way you will get the best looking frame job and not have to trim it, etc. Some people do that which is NOT something I would recommend, you certainly never want to trim a poster or screen print to make it fit in a frame, because then the item in question is worthless.

Lots of stuff dropped this morning, the Planet of the Apes singles, The Bat by Olly Moss, and the Jurassic Park ones, all from different places. The main problem I have when it comes to drops is while I don't mind the "random time" thing I do feel these places need to consider west coast time zones. I wasn't interested in any of these, but for those who were that were on the pacific time zone, probably share in this frustration. 7:30am is when then Apes ones went on sale, a time when most people are sleeping, or on their way to work or school. It would be better for all fans if they made the random time after 9am pacific time. None of these prints were interest to me but to some, they were, and I feel for you guys that missed out due to the early time drops.

Yea lots of drops this morning. Jurassic Park was the only one I was interested in though. He probably had very few copies for sale, I had it in my cart right away and it sold out during checkout.

I have the double sided It's also about an inch longer in length so it doesn't fit the regular 27x40 poster frames.

Yeah i would never do such a thing as to trim. I was just trying to see if anyone out there knew of websites that do custom framing for cheap. I've Done custom framing in the past and its come out pretty expensive. I can't complain about the end result, though still not cost effective. Especially if your frame is more than your poster..

I'd say most of my prints cost more to frame than to buy, the only exception would be the Kill Bill Stout... which I wish I'd got on drop day... if I only knew then what I know now.

Ya id say anything Tylor Stout goes for ridiculous amounts of money after it sells out. I would of love to have "The Thing" when it dropped. But i've seen it sell for ridiculous amounts of money. Uggh its a sucks having soo many awesome prints and not being able to frame them.

Is it Ken Taylor's The Beyond? How's that look in person?

For that wacky size I would go to posterframedepot and get a custom one.

Yeah back then the posters were 27x41, they switched back to 27x40 around 1994.

I think perhaps the stickers may have been on the posters sent to Canada, the U.S. style didn't have them on it from what I saw. Since the film opened up in the USA/Canada at the same time, it was the same style of poster (not the international style with the slightly different date/wording) but I believe the stickers were applied by the distribution centers that ship the posters to Canadian theaters.

I had five of Ansin's Phantom of the Opera "variant" back from 2009, ugh, why did I sell them all? They only made 25 of them. That was back in the days when you could call up Mondo and order a few posters with no problems, now people are lucky to get one.

You may want to check with local frame shops in your area rather than a website, may get a better deal and no shipping or damages in shipping to be concerned with either.

I believe the Kill Bill one was originally announced as something people could buy at the opening night screening in Los Angeles with QT in attendance (since he owns the theater it was showing at) but they only had 100 of the regulars numbered-only available for sale that night. The remaining ones they had to offer, including the rice-paper variants went on sale at a later date via their site, and I think they dropped them very early in the morning (early for pacific time zone fans). There is also an artist proof edition, the standard has 65 AP's and the variant has 40 AP's both editions signed and numbered.

The Thing back in 2008 sold for $40. Now it can command as much as $2500. It will only continue to rise because they only pop up for resale every once in a great while and since there were only 210 standards made, most are in collections that won't be sold for a very long time, if ever. The variant is even rarer but I prefer the standard. It is the most sought after poster I want as well and that's all I can say.

But his other stuff is on the rise as well, such as Big Trouble in Little China and The Big Lebowski and others. Even his Iron Man 2 from 2010 is getting rather hard to find, and of course his Akira is impossible since it wasn't sold anywhere except the mystery movie in Austin Texas that one night and no one knew about it except those who got in for the screening. Kill Bill is also insanely popular.

Eventually all of his stuff will be scarce and continue to rise in value, its like "gold" in some ways, those that bought it when it was $600 an ounce several years ago are getting nearly three times their investment. Posters and prints and other collectibles are the same way.

yea its The Beyond. I got the normal version. And it looks awesome in person. Very detailed. I was so happy to snatched it up. I have a place for it on my wall waiting hehe. Thanks for the site! I'll see what kind of frame i can come up with. So far the the style i like is costing me $75.00. So i might have to change a few things..

Ya the Akira one i always see it going for about $1200 dollars. And the last time i saw the variant for the thing it was selling for $4000. It's getting ridiculous now. Even trying to buy them on the day of launch is gotten to a point where its completely mad to attempt to buy one. I've gotten to a point where i have lots of prints i wanted.. but find myself not knowing where to display them all. I mean I could put them all over my home.. but sometimes i feel it'd look too tacky. I had a room dedicated for all these posters. But i have seem to almost run out of wall. Unless i do the ceiling which i won't. Everytime i say im going to quit buying.. A cooler print comes out..

Like Kinsella said definitely go check out a local framer. Start at the mom & pop shops and see if you can track down some online reviews for it. If you have lots of posters to frame up down the line it wouldn't hurt to build a rapport and there's a shot they'll work a deal with the pricing.

The Beyond is my favorite Fulci film and I gotta have that one! Great collection d0ntacos. I love seeing all those horror screen prints covering the walls.

One day I want to wallpaper my office with them.

Thanks househead. That's is exactly where i'm hanging up all my prints. My office lol. I love collecting all these horror prints. So much detail! but the problem now which isn't really a problem if you could call it that. I am running out of wall space in my office. Since many of the mondo prints range from 18x24 - 24x36 they take huge chunks of my wall. So now i have to plan out what i want to have displayed hehe. Trying to incorporate all my fav horror movies. Which BTW The beyond is my favorite Fulci film aswell
