Default Manga Films (Spain) goes Blu-ray exclusive

Source: zonadvd

This studio had initially pre-announced titles such as Crash or Hostage for HD DVD in 2007, but they were delayed. Now it announces it will begin releasing content on Blu-ray next July. Initial titles will be John Rambo and Mr. Brooks.

"For the time being" they won't do any HD DVD releases.

Thanks to 'Archibald Alexander Leach' @ mundodvd forums for the tip.

Great News...With the software sales we are seeing 80%+ in favor of Blu-ray, how much longer will Paramount and Universal delay the inevitable?

What's going to happen to HD DVD when all their import sources dry up? It seems Europe is quickly turning Blu.

another source: http://www.planetahd.com/blu-ray/man...va-de-blu-ray/

It seems "Manga Films" has the rights of Rambo in Spain.

a few well known movies you listed, yet I never heard of the studio. A victory is a victory though...... I'm ready for one format, I want the wait to end!

Very impressive. To have a studio do a full 180 in their hi-def plans... This must have taken a very special operative to do.

Or, conversely, just an honest assessment of the market, of course.

3:1 or 4:1, studio's going Blu-ray per Retailer deserting HD DVD
(studio:retailer)
