HD DVDs were going to "be" red laser based and 720 x 1280 (with VC-1) and went by the name AOD but all that changed when they saw the Blu-ray err.. "juggernaut"?

Isn't HD DVD copying the blue laser idea the reason Blu-rays are called blu, instead of blue, now? Heh, someone should write a book!

The Lasers of Silicon Valley... or something..
