The HT is a dedicated room, completely light controlled (no windows, all lights on dimmers) with dark walls and a black ceiling. I have no problems with the lumen output in this room. When I was painting the ceiling black, my wife came in, looked around, shook her head and left....but after the first viewing, the ceiling paint was forgiven.

BTW, that pic was with the bulb at half strength.

That's good to know, because the Z2000 was on top of my list for 'soon to buy'. The only thing that has me hesitating now is the upcoming Sony VPL VW40. It sells for 100 USD less than the Z2000 if you buy online

Thanks! The fronts are the AS-F2. I have a pair of Polk Audio FXi3 (using the dipole setting) as surrounds. I replaced a dying Polk Audio sub with a Klipsch Synergy 12" Down-Firing Subwoofer last June and it's way better than the other one!

I think it would be better to use the FXi3 on the side but it is not possible in my living room (once I set up the basement perhaps I'll try them on the side and buy new speakers for the living room (if I have enough money!).

We looked forever for a stand that could hold the speaker in the middle and all the components with out having doors needing to be left open. Couldnt find anything so I bought a saw and some wood and made one exactly the way I wanted it. I am starting on a matching 400+ DVD shelf now.

The only place you can get the ones I have are at Ikea. Sometimes they show up on eBay.

I picked up the Cryon w the 4 extras last year. Really brings the room to life and you can set it to work with your audio and expand the system when you want. Can't go wrong.

I like your setup, especially the speakers! But I believe those are made by SVS, not SBS
