How does have an external DAT work with a SACD player? Can you
send out multichannel DSD to the DAC or are you using the DAC for CDs only?

Dude! I can't believe no one has commented on those JLs! I love bass! Well, I do see a weakness in your home theater set up.........the Blu-ray player. It should be like a Denon or something more expensive

What I found really impressive is the masking for the screen. Do you have automatic settings for the masking so it will pick the correct aspect ratio or do you have to manually have to change it.

Second thing that was really nice is the tubed amps. You must really get a awesome warm silky sound out of those. Very nice...

Holy f***ing shit!! That set up probably cost more than my entire flat, including my poor excuse for a "home theater"!

What did you say your address was again??

Really sweet setup mate, I'm sure you're enjoying it for all of us here on the board!

BDP-S2000ES Blu-Ray player (slow as hell though)
two Lamm ML2.1 amps powering the left and right channels
Audio Research Reference 3 HD as my Preamp
Emm Labs CDSD as my SACD player
Emm Labs DAC6-e as my D/A Converter
Lexicon MC12 HD Balanced
Stewart CineV 132 inch screen (when masks are lifted)
Comcast HD box
MX-3000 universal remote
Krell theatre amp standard powering my Wilson WATCH surrounds and center channel

I also have high performance cabling all throughout the room.

I am a big video and audiophile so the reason that chair is alone in the front is because that is my sweet spot. All of the speakers and tube traps around the room are aimed to that chair. If I had a couch in the front there, people would not be able to walk past it.

Botchy balls!!!

That setup is even more awesome than I am!

That is saying something!

They are placed in optimal positions to prevent diffraction.... He obviously knows his way around an SPL Meter, and has some really nice equipment. I'm actually surprised he didn't apply accoustical treatments to the walls/ceiling, but I'm sure at this point, nothing else he does to the room itself would be detectible to the human ear......

And to the guy who said the shelves were the only thing in his setup he could afford.......

He's probably got about $4k in stands in that room!!
