I'm not sure about that. I do enjoy the faster pace and the kill streaks of MW3 but if they had Hardcore mode equal to what MW3 has now, I wouldn't be struggling to finish these last 2 prestiges in BOPS. Although I guess it is more than just the game mode setup, the drop in population has made a huge impact in playability for me as well.

Wasn't impressed with MW3's MOAB anyway, 25 kills with the spawn system, and somewhat questionable map layout which prevented this from being a routine thing the way Nukes were in MW2 made this a chore. Everything else is good to be removed.

Map Design
  • Map design and size will be following Black Ops not Modern Warfare 3
Anything that can fix the mess that wasn't just maps, but spawning is 10000000% ok in my opinion

Sniper Rifles
  • Improved sniper rifle usage.
  • No aim assist for any sniper rifle.
  • Less sway
Funny, that looks like an omission they botched it in Blackops, again these changes only matter if the maps/layouts don't suck

Customization
  • No longer just perk 1 chooses the players appearance
  • Appearance is a combination of all perks and type of Pointstreak being used.

Hardcore

Some cool upgrades to Hardcore



Perk System 2.0
  • The Perk Pro system has been upgraded
  • There is now 2 options a perk can advance to.
  • Both require different challenges to unlock
  • Once the desired Pro version is unlocked, the player can select that as their "Perk Pro".
  • Once selected, the only way to choose the other option is by entering prestige mode.
  • For example Perk slot 1 has the perk called Speed
  • Speed - Reduces the time taken to aim down the sight. Pro I - Swaps weapons faster. Pro II - Throws equipment faster
love this idea! instead of having to pick and choose like with mw3, having to earn them almost takes it back to cod4 where the perk did multiple things

Combat Training
Fine little side gametype for when nobodies on

Yep , I mean you still had to make choices for maps/ teams you'd play against, but it wasn't the 180 play style differences that started taking place with MW2 and got subsequently worse with each game.

As they said it was retarded in mw3 that you couldn't aim quick without that one perk but you could be fast as everything else. Having the perks all encompassing a single, but having to earn them is a much better idea, and it'll also make that prestige decision much harder especially if you don't get prestige tokens.

I'm not really sure I'm understanding the perk system here.

Taking the example, I understood it as perk 'Speed' comes as a standard choice

Once you complete a certain number of challenges, the Pro Perk is unlock (swaps weapons faster).
But there's an additional second level to the perk that can only be unlock when you prestige (so a prestige challenge in essence).

But that second level will stay unlock from then on out. Obviously, once you prestige, you lose everything and it needs to be unlocked again. But you can unlock the second level of the perk once you complete the challenges regardless of what level you're on.

Its kinda hard to explain but I hope someone gets what I'm saying.

Also, with the first level being set at 50 and increasing by 5 every two prestiges, it would make sense that the challenges need to unlock pro perks are relatively low. Take Marathon for example, run 5 miles to unlock level 1 and maybe run 10 miles to unlock level 2.
It would be stupid if you needed to run 20, 30, 40 or more miles to unlock level 2 when in all likelihood, you would reach prestige level well before that.

Yes and thats the cool thing maybe even insanely cool depending on what that third one is.

So take MW3; right now if you want "speed" you have to use extreme conditioning, but if you want to swap quick, you need Sleight of Hand... Now you've got two perks in one, but instead of like cod4 it will require some work to attain.

Ghost Challenges:
Destroy 30 aircraft without killstreaks (dumb but ok..)
Destroy 5 sentry guns (absolutely foolish to have associated with this perk, I spent hours simply trying to find sentries to finish this, wasn't even playing the objectives or even killing)
Kill 20 enemies while their spy plane or blackbird is up (makes sense thats what a ghost would do)

I'm looking forward to any technical improvements that they have made with BO2. Before the jokes start about the graphics in Black Ops, i would say that there is tremendous pressure on Treyarch to not have Black Ops 2 look like a total dinosaur of a game. Warfighter is going to be using the Frostbite 2.0 engine, and even MW2.5 (sorry 3) looked like it had been released in 2009, including those overblown Dynamic Highlights. It would be a shame if the final CoD game of the present generation went out with a whimper rather than a bang.

Maybe 100 or so level ups (maybe like 60(ps3) and 40(360) between the two systems). Between the hitboxes and lag I stepped away from it, but in that time I would literally get excited to see a sentry and try my hardest to get to it. I'm sure had I logged days and days I'd have eventually ran into one, but thats not really the point, you shouldn't have to run into things, and 100 or so levels should be more than enough playtime to do a pro perk on either system.
