I am not allowed to self-promote my business on the forum, if I did so, then everyone would be allowed to do so, and the moderators don't want to turn this site into another Craigslist and I respect that. You can message me directly though if you have any questions.

Comic-Con has done a mixture of mini-posters (Blade Runner: Final Cut for example) and full-size exclusives (Sweeney Todd as another example). Mini posters as everyone knows aren't theatrical originals, but also the full-size ones aren't considered that either, just convention-exclusive giveaways, and sometimes they feature different artwork than the posters released theatrical, which in some cases makes them collectible to fans. Back before Spider-Man 3 was released there was a poster made by Sony (single-sided only) of a black-suited Spider-Man in the rain perched on top of a statue but I believe it was nixed and not given out at the convention after all. It became quite popular with fans, and still is if it can be found, but technically wasn't a theatrical original movie poster despite being 27x40, but still quite popular with Spider-Man fans.

Unsure what these SDCC giveaway exclusives will be like but I am sure they will get up on eBay within days after the convention ends. They could be full-size, or they could be mini versions, but regardless, I would be shocked if any of them were double-sided.

Alright. So I ended up putting the 'lonesome ghosts' poster in a sleeve after it had been sitting out on the table for some time. Definitely went with the easiest of posters as you can tell by the size difference
[Show spoiler]

But it just didn't look right in that sleeve, so I ran down to Michael's for a quick frame job. This end result is MUCH better!
[Show spoiler]

I did some searching online to try and get some ideas, but I really couldn't find this poster framed anywhere. Overall I am very pleased

Here's the next two that will be getting 'sleeved' until I decided what to do with them. Stouts Avengers
[Show spoiler]
and Whalens Toy Story
[Show spoiler]

I am a very big Disney fan so getting the ghosts framed first seemed like the right idea. Though having my first 3 Mondo purchases being all Disney is just a coincidence

The Ultra-Pro sleeves, or any sleeve really for that matter in my opinion is mainly for storage, not really designed for display, although I do use them for displaying posters at conventions I am set-up at but overall for displaying at home, they aren't the best. The frame job looks much nicer, and remember Michaels Arts & Crafts as well as Aaron Brothers framing tend to have coupons in the Sunday newspaper ad section, sometimes 40-50% off any single one item or on framing itself.

Also, those sleeves do come in various sizes, the Stout Avengers is 24x36 and Ultra-Pro does make a sleeve that size, but it can be a tight fit so be careful when sliding it inside the sleeve, but overall looks better than putting it a sleeve that is much bigger.

The pricing wasn't too bad. The 22x30 frame was on sale for 13 bucks then I just had the framing counter toss it together. The biggest price jump was the 'masterpiece' glass.

They didn't drymount the print, or did you frame it yourself so the print is loose and not affixed to anything, correct? As long as you keep it out of the sunlight, it should be ok.

I got the guy at Michael's to mount it. It was not drymounted plus the guy replaced the stock piece of glass with the UV anti-glare stuff. He said I could leave it in sunlight though I decided to mount it on a wall that sees a small amount of sunlight.

The only thing I didn't ask was if the backing was acid-free, though their website says they use it, so I assume it was used (hopefully!)

I was curious about a frame, so I went down to Michael's with the poster sleeved in my trunk. The guy had mentioned the cheaper frame would work, but it would touch the front of the glass which could cause issues down the road, as well as the non UV protective glass and no matte. So Instead of paying 13 I paid 120, but the end result is exactly what I wanted.

Ok so basically if you needed to remove the print to roll it up for any reason, can you, correct? You never want to dry mount a poster or print of any kind of value, because the moment you do that, it become worthless. This is the process where they take a special piece of white board, and spray it down and then place the print/poster over it and put it inside a machine to press it down so it becomes one.

Glad he was able to use the UV glass, that helps cut down on the fading, etc. You may want to inquire if they used acid-free backing, if you had the work done locally. Acid-free should be an off-white color and have a rough feel to it when you run your hand over it.

If anyone picks up 'The Hobbit' 2012 Comic Con exclusive poster and decides to part with it, let me know

Just got around to taking the final style Avengers poster I got a little while out of the tube and inspected it. Only protective packaging it had was a bit of bubble wrap at either end of the tube.

Several very noticeable defects like scratches and tears. Very upset with this one. Opened a PayPal dispute to get a partial refund.

Looks like I need to try and find another one I can buy

I hate to say it, but welcome to the world of eBay when it comes to movie posters. Something you, and others here need to remember is that that majority of people selling posters on eBay have no idea what it is they are selling or how to package a poster for shipping. Simply putting it in a tube and putting a little bit of bubble wrap, etc won't do much. Also, the quality of tubes is very important. Also the often misrepresentation of the poster's condition in the first place is often overlooked. What someone who has no idea what they are selling or doesn't collect themselves, they may classify a poster as "near-mint" but a collector or poster dealer would classify as "good". The factors you have to consider are numerous when it comes to buying on eBay. Not all the sellers of posters are clueless but many of them are.

Sorry to hear that the seller shipped you something that didn't arrive as mint, the problem you may encounter with a dispute is having to pay the return shipping, etc, but I hope it goes well for you in the end.

I am sure plenty will pop up on eBay, don't pay a lot for it though, it will be quite common. On an unrelated note, I just opened my box of the Dark Knight Rises bus shelter posters....good lord they are some of the nicest looking things I have seen.

If you don't have any luck, you can try MoviePoster.com as they have it available, original, double-sided, and their link to the poster is below. I would help you out if I could but I don't have that poster in stock.

Well I'm just asking for a partial refund so I don't have to ship it back.

Well technically you should have had to worry about getting a refund, the seller should have packaged the poster properly and if it was scratched before shipping, disclosed the actual condition. Did you get all the PM's I had sent you the other day?

The seller didn't mention any defects at all. "Brand New" was the only indication of the condition.

Got your PM's. Awesome info. I sent you a response too so check the last one I sent.

You wouldn't happen to have any final style Avengers posters would you?
