From what I've heard, Paramount was not kind to the Godfather film stock and judging by the DVDs, the current master is rather garbage. We'll be lucky if the BR releases are much above DVD levels, I'm afraid (hopefully I'm wrong though). This is a trilogy where I'd love a bunch of special features though, so added value can be found there for me, even if PQ/AQ aren't top notch. I'd pick up the trilogy on BR if it's an upgrade at all though.
