I'm still on the fence! 54 bucks could get me a nice frame for something I want on the wall. That moss custom is so tempting but much harder to get than I thought.

I dont think order numbers have anything to do with it, seeing that my order number is in the 46,000 range. I think its people on there speculating, I can't imagine Justin or anyone at Mondo posting what numbers are looking like until after today.

Justin did tweet that they were going to announce tomorrow. I was wondering about Invoice #'s myself and if there were any correlation. 8k is insanity if its true... good for them!

i never got a reply, but i saw somebody post on here that they got a reply to an email asking if they shipped to australia, i created an account yesterday and just clicked through to the checkout with a random print they had for sale and they added $25 shipping to the cart, so i pulled the trigger today and ordered

sure i read somewhere that due to demand they wouldnt be shipped for 6 weeks, so with the long travel round the world i might get mine in time for christmas

Congrats on your first Mondo print! They are pretty darn cool. My first print has lead to about 10 more... not a cheap hobby, but if you can get in on the initial release and not pay scalper prices I think it is a pretty good one.

That's what I figured for this one. It's my first one, too. I only have today to decide if I want it and even if I change my mind in 6 weeks, I can pass it along to somebody for what I paid for it. I'd love to get in on "initial releases" of others, but that seems really hard to do... especially when I'm in the car most of the time when they go on sale (I'm in sales).

Remember the order # on the invoice doesn't mean your print will be that number. I realize my guess was very low since I said around 1200 made so I will admit defeat. It's a good thing a prize wasn't on the line, I actually was thinking about doing something for the winner, perhaps maybe something later on the down road in the form of a trivia contest or something.

I guess they didn't read my post, or if they did, decide to go with it. LOL! If I ever make it big and do screen prints, I promise to offer more than one timed release for you all.

As most already know there is an IMAX only movie poster for The Dark Knight Rises. It is the rarest of the four styles made, but I wanted to give those a head's up who manage to secure a copy (trust me, its difficult) that while the poster is 27x40 and double-sided, the backside is not lighter than the front like other double-sided originals. This is probably because this poster was printed by IMAX themselves and not by the studio so therefore they probably used their own printer, etc. So just an FYI so if you get one, you don't get concerned when you notice the backside not lighter. Sadly though this could mean double-sided reprints start appearing, but be advised the originals are very difficult to find.

i think if you made it big and start doing screen prints that you should have a subscription type deal where we all (from this forum) pay you $40 a month and we get guaranteed every print

Is that the one with Bane and the "12:01" time on it they're handing out at the midnight shows? There's no way I'm making it through a 3 hour movie that starts at midnight....

I wonder if I can just show up, buy a ticket, get the poster and then leave....

Nope, you are thinking of the IMAX midnight screening giveaway print, which IMAX has been doing for other higher profile films such as John Carter, Amazing Spider-Man, Prometheus, and others. I was referring to the IMAX style movie poster which I have placed an image of it below. Regarding the midnight screen print, you probably could go, and get one, its while supplies last but you would be paying $15 for the IMAX movie ticket to get one. I should know tomorrow or Friday if I will have the Bane prints available.
