To the guy that said that QB vision adds realism to the game, I say, yes and no. In theory, it was a good idea, but it didn't translate well in the video game. Besides, if you played Madden for a long time, hell if you're a football fan or if you played organized ball before, you know the difference between man and zone coverage and which receiver is open and which one isn't. I agree that you shouldn't be able to flip the receiver more than 80% of the time and that your receiver shouldn't be able to outleap the corner all the time (unless it's Randy Moss, Plaxico Burress or maybe even T.O.) because that's not real. Another thing I forgot to add in my last point for some ideas is weather effects on the game. Meaning if it's windy, the ball could sail on you or like in the Chicago/GB game, it could make a simple punt an adventure. Or if it's raining or snowing, the field should deteriorate as the game goes along and the player's footing and grip on the ball shouldn't be stable. They should have team specific fight songs/cheers/celebrations in there. Good thing I got a 60 GB PS3. I found a copy of NFL 2K5 for $3 and am about to get my football fix.

Good post SJohn. Looks like everyone has the same complaints. The question is, "Will EA & The Madden development team listen?".

or, "are they smart enough to listen" is really the question.

How much easier can their fans make it for them.

TAKE THE CRAP OUT OF THE GAME!!!! Put all that garbage into NFL Street, No one buys it anyway.

I don't care if it is Randy Moss and Plaxico, you still shouldn't be able to jump your receiver 17 feet into the air on every single play. That is not football.

I agree with this. I should have clarified myself. I should have said that no receiver should be able to get their Superman on and be able to leap 18 feet in the air. But at the same time, the receivers I mentioned should be able to beat the corner in most jumpball situations.

You are totally correct. But I'll tell you one thing, If Randy, Plax, T.O, Chad, Housh or any Wide Receiver did that jump play more that 3 times in one game, a safety or LB would take his head off. The Receiver would have 10 concussions a game.

EA should change their slogan to:

If it's in the Game, It's Not in the Game!

I think EA needs to build a much more solid foundation for their Madden. It need a major overhaul. I'm sure they've heard an ear full from EB & GameStop contacts.

If the guys at EA don't know what's going on with Madden then they have their heads in a cloud.
