Couple updates from this week.

First off I nabbed my first Flat-File storage off Kijiji! (almost like Craigslist, but for Canada only) It's wood, it's heavy and not in the best condition. Though it was free so I can't complain. It will have no problem holding anything Mondo can throw at me, though for Movie posters I am going to have to get another one. Sadly the drawers inside are 1mm too short width wise from holding a 27x40" print. Pictures will be up today!

Secondly, I received an email back from Justin regarding the dark knight print. It seems they are ready to send me a replacement, though I'm not suppose to return the darker one. I'm suppose to destroy it and provide photographic evidence before they ship me my replacement. Do I rip it up or burn it?

I think you should use a gel (germ ez burns pretty well) hang the poster outside, make a "bat signal" logo and burn it that way. Filming the entire time! That would be a great way to destroy it!

Hmm...

DC announces their own line of collectible prints. Wonder what this means for the DC/Mondo partnership.

Thankfully none of them are really grabbing me. I wonder if Mondo's licences are with DC or with the move studio, so maybe these have no impact? Thanks for posting the link up, always nice to see new material. I think my favorite may be the wonder woman print, not enough to pull the trigger though.

Here's a photo of the Flat File. The drawers have a little flap inside to keep the posters down which is cool! Though I'm going to put down a layer or two of brown paper before I start to put anything in the drawers. While cleaning them I noticed some of the stain came off on the cloth, so it's probably best to have something between the posters and the wood itself.

What would you guys recommend to put between stacked posters, tissue paper?

and last but not least is the photo of both Nightmare before Christmas prints side by side

[Show spoiler]

So wait, you got that FOR FREE? Are you effing kidding me? That's the score of the year.

Tissue paper or glassine paper. I have both and there's no way glassine paper would ever scratch anything.

I'm getting a second look at your pics and if you wanted to just re-stain or paint the parts that show. Or don't. That's a really nice piece of furniture you got there. Any story behind why it was free?

Long story short...I posted a wanted ad and this lady responded. She got it from a school she used to work at. She was using it as a TV stand for this beast of a tube TV she was also trying to get rid of. The price was 20, but after telling her the drive was going to be a 45 minutes both ways, she decided to part with it free of charge It's also effing heavy

It could use some stain, the sides do have some hunks missing out of them, and the knobs needs straightening, but it's got character I am gonna get some feet for it pretty quick. The pallet is just there to keep it off the ground since the bottom drawer wouldn't open unless elevated.

All in all I'm super excited to have it! Kinda bummed about that damn millimeter width wise. I'll have to find another for my 27x40" prints/posters

This thing looks really well built. I'd strip it and restrain it, put some new hardware on it. I think I'd also take a good look at those drawers and consider planeing off the 1mm and putting them back together. That thing is a real keeper.

I hope none of you here buy MONDO posters with the only intent of selling them for much more later.

To me, it's just a dick move considering there are so few to begin with. It's scalping. People making a profit from nothing except being an ass.

I got the Star Trek: The Corbomite Maneuver regular print today. I assure you it's for my collection. I am no businessman.

This. From all the Mondo posters I've got so far the only one that actually went up is Stouts Avengers. All my other prints aren't worth anything, though the only other prints I own are Whalens
