not to derail thread, I did pre order, but how is this movie available for pre order before it comes out but Dark Knight Rises isn't? Very Frustrating.

It also says Pre-order The Bourne Legacy on Blu-ray and receive a promo code for $8 in Fandango Cash (while supplies last) to see The Bourne Legacy, the fourth movie in the "Bourne" saga. In theaters beginning August 10.

Might do that then. I like this type of promo.

Ohh I'll might do that, tho it seems easy enough to use the coupon and then cancel my order later... Is this the only promo for the movie in theaters? Not really a deal when you include the price of shipping and Fandango's service fees, make it one cent higher, and it could be.

Yeah you enter the movie cash like it's a gift certificate code during the ordering of fandango tickets for a specific showtime. Not convenient.

Also I did have some ticket fees, but only like $1.25, so for two tickets on a Friday night I still saved myself around $7 something. Not bad.

The movie itself was entertaining, but it is DEFINITELY Part 1. No resolution. The movie just ends so it can get to the inevitable sequel.

Underrated movie. The beginning was very jumpy (scenes lasting for like 15 secs then going to another) but once he got out of Alaska, i really enjoyed it. The chase at the end is amazing.

This movie deserves much more attention than what it is getting. People need to stop complaining about this movie not being about Jason Bourne because it is not. This is a new story on a new character and I think Gilroy did an amazing job building up Aaron Cross. I agree there was not as much action as other Bourne movies, but it was still a great movie. The ending, however, could've been better. I cannot wait for another sequel. I hope they get Matt Damon back in the movie and have a showdown between Aaron Cross and Jason Bourne. That would be epic.

Do you think they will boxset this with the first three movies? I haven't picked up the trilogy yet so I would most likely lean towards a boxset of all four.

I don't think so.

The thing is, the first three movies are about Jason Bourne. This however, even though contains some traces of Jason, but is based entirely on a new character. But then again I could be wrong and they might release a box set.

Pre-ordered this for the fandango ticket and I'm definitely keeping my order in. In my opinion, the second best behind Ultimatum. Really don't understand the beating it's been receiving.

I wonder if this is what hurt the sales at the box office? When I heard Bourne Legacy I automatically thought of Jason Bourne but I see that's not the case.

I think it only made $2.8 m

Do you mean opening weekend in theaters? The Bourne Legacy made $38,142,825 opening weekend in USA, with $199,675,565 worldwide to date. Very close in theater sales to what The Bourne Identity made. Glad to hear they plan to make another 5th Bourne movie.

Good deal. Now maybe Damon will get of his high horse with only wanting to return with Greengrass and we'll get a team up. Legacy didn't deserve the thrashing it got (as I mentioned above).

I agree. I'm a fan of all the Bourne films but I really liked Legacy. I hope it gets a sequel or two. I came away from the movie thinking a team up with Jason Bourne would be awesome.

Ah, the $2,852,475 is for Sept. 14-16 weekend gross, not opening weekend gross, or domestic gross of $107,794,135.

Here's the Fandango link for domestic gross totals, Bourne Legacy is #8 for Sept. 14-16 box office sales: http://www.fandango.com/boxoffice

EDIT: Scorpion Soldier beat me to it!
