Not sure what you're expecting, the only thing I really hope they improve is the realtime shadowing.

I can't wait to try this in person
I think this team vs snake thing was
also a great idea thought that would

So much for what Kojima said about HD making characters look like plastic. I thought he said he had some ideas to make things look dirtier? These are the most plastic-looking character I've seen yet.

Probably the post effects put on the pictures.

The other thing to ask was this taken from a HD source
and which build is this?

True-- looks like it could definitely be post-effect. Everything looks wayyyy too clean--- look at those stars above the guy who's knocked out.

Particularly it looks like either a marketer played with the sharpness button or removed the brightness or added brightness and in cases removed contrast added contrast.. I do not think these are screenshots these are promoshots taken for a screenshot.

Tell the marketers to quit playing with the brightness and contrast levels.

They haven't gone overboard with the specular mapping making everyone's skin shiny like in Perfect Dark Zero. Looks like the unique MGS style apart from that, not going for gritty dull realism like so many western-developed shooters.

All I hope is that MGO will be a seperate game, and it will be released like Warhawk did.

Available as download and as a hardcopy (with or without a Bluetooth headset). I will buy both versions btw, because I want the hardcopy to be in my collection, and I want to download so I dont have to use the disc.

Ah yes I was trying to figure this out-- latest news was that MGS4 comes with a TRIAL version of MGO. So what should we expect MGO to be launched from?

Do we buy the full game off the PS Store and then launch from the MGS4 disc, or launch from XMB?

Also-- with MGO being on the MGS4 disc, I wonder how much space that took away from MGS4. Didn't Kojima say he was going to fill a 50GB? Then why would he waste space with MGO?

I hope MGO will be launched from the XMB as well as the MGS4 menu. Because I was hoping to have MGS4 (or any other game) in the tray, so I can decide between the 2 depending on my mood.

Or after watching a Blu-ray movie, I can jump into playing MGO right after the movie finishes, without having to leave the comfort of my seat.

But, it would be AMAZING, if you could launch MGO from XMB as well as MGS4 menu, that would be genius, so I can play MGO right after I played MGS4, lol.

Exactly my thoughts, my friend. I love not having to worry about the disc. Next generation I am really really hoping for multi-disc changers.

Metal Gear's something I've just got to have a physical copy of in my collection. I wouldn't be playing both MGO and MGS4 at once anyway so swapping games all the time isn't really a problem for me.

For sure. I definitely want a physical copy of MGS4, but it would be really nice being able to launch MGO from the XMB. Hence why I bought the Warhawk PSN version.

I think we shall have to wait to put our grummy hands on it to see it without alteration by evil marketers.

The KP Report Session 082

Quote:
Ryan Payton and Aki Saito host this 82nd edition of the KP Report to give updates on Metal Gear Acid Mobile, the MGO Beta, and MGS Essential Collection!

Check this site for more information on Metal Gear Acid Mobile: http://www.glu.com/noram/pages/produ...etal+Gear+Acid

Ryan Payton
Edit: The final boxart for each region, even Japan sounds like it's going to be completely different from the mockup we've already seen from Japanese press.

Europe's getting the preorder bonus DVD too. Details on Euro Metal Gear Online beta applications still haven't been released but they are doing it. When the stress gauge goes up (from continuous battle for example) your shooting accuracy goes down. Looking at the 'men's magazine' won't be the only way to drop stress back down.

Edit2: More things I didn't cover:

* the word "F***" will be used in MGS4 (for the first time in MGS history)

* The Metal Gear Saga 2.0 DVD will use the "Dissolve" artwork

* "Dissolve" image was created by a company called "Petrol" based in California and tweaked by Kojima Productions

* Payton wants you to come up with a "Metal Gear" name for yourself for all future questions to their mailbox or it probably won't get answered

* the violence level has not been toned down in the game, but had been for trailers
The second to last point was a joke, really.
