Default Sequels you like/don't like...

Spawning from a different thread...

Post your favorite sequels which, in your mind, captured the emotion of an earlier release in the franchise.

Plus, for fun, post your most hated sequels ever and those which were terrible for the francise.

My picks:
Good:
The Bourne Supremecy and Ultimatum
Terminator 2: Judgment Day
Tremors 2 and 4
Star Trek ALL
Jaws 2

BAD:
RoboCop 2
Mortal Kombat 2
Shrek 3
Highlander: The Source
Batman and Robin

Good
Empire Strikes Back (My favorite movie of all time - even with the glaring plothole that Luke almost completes his Jedi training while Han and Leia are on the run . . . . just how long were they going through space?)
The Two Towers
Superman 2

Bad
Return to Oz
Land Before Time 87
Any Aliens after 2

Resident Evil: "Apocalypse" and "Extinction" far better than the first, IMO.

Hah, never caught that one actually. How about this one: Wasn't Luke Skywalker supposed to be well hidden from his father? He was at Darth Vader’s half brothers’ house on Darth’s home planet. And nobody even bothered to change his last name. How hard would it be to sense him with the force and find him, really?

Bad:

Alien 3

I mean they take all but one of the survivors from Aliens and kill them off during the OPENING CREDITS of the third movie! Only David Fincher's direction and the cinematography keep this one in my collection.

Bishop wasn't killed off, he was just thrown in the trash heap, he made a small appearance in the third one, but he's an "artificial person" so maybe that doesn't count. lol.

I don't feel bad for Michael Biehn (Cpl Hicks), he got paid more for them using his picture in Alien 3, then he got for acting in Aliens.

I really enjoy the Director's cut on the Quadrilogy set of Alien 3! I am not a fan of the theatrical cut...seems too forced by the movie studio.

You pick Highlander: The Source which was horrible, and not 2 or 3? 4 was barely passable

Cause he wasn't looking for him and had no desire to ever EVER go back there

Why wouldn't he look for him? I guess he just took Palpatine's word that Padme died on Mustafar? Neither of them actually witnessed her death. I find it hard to believe that Anakin/Darth, as obsessed with Padme as he was, would have just let everything slide when he heard through the grapevine that his woman and child(ren) didn't make it.
