of course, and i'll use my 10mp not my phone

I've got it set up now, but I don't have the PS3 plugged in. I gotta go get my parents at the airport here soon, but when I get home, I'll throw on a blu-ray (I haven't even seen one yet) and take a whole roll of pictures (by roll I mean roughly 24-36...not a memory card/700 )

--also, I have to wait for the alarm company to come and move my alarm panel before i install it on the wall, so I'll post more pictures once I get it on the wall.

i got the sanus mount. This is me , this is my wallet

Now that Fujitsu is gone, Pio Elite is the best PQ flat panel available. Followed VERY closely by Runco.

Next year's Hitachi Director's Series plasma is supposed to be very strong. (Hitachi and Fujitsu are now the same company I believe)

Even if Fujitsu plasma still sold plasmas now, the Kuro Elite is still better according to Home Theater magazine.

BTW, I think Hitachi and Fujitsu had a flat panel joint venture, and that Hitachi is buying Fujitsu's share. They are different companies.

Are you going to install the mount yourself? If yes, let me know how it goes. I plan to do it myself too (with some help in lifting the TV of course).

yeah other than lifting the TV I am quite confident. I installed my 42" plasma in 03 all by myself, so I think I can do it. With this one I will definitely get someone to help me put it on the mount.

I stayed out way too late partying with friends last night, so I haven't been able to upload any pictures of the teevee itself, but I have been taking them...and if you would like i will take pictures through each step of the process

are you going to fit the speakers on there or leave them in the box? might take my ones off as they make the thing so huge, plus they're pretty crap.

I wall mounted the 5010 by myself. By the way, did you ever compare the 5010 to the 150? Just wondering why you'd drop another couple grand the 150. I couldn't tell a difference between elite and non-elite models. I think some minor processing and microsoft home theater software is the only difference between the two. Seems iffy to pay $2000 for that.

the elite has more advanced picture tuning features plus intelligence mode. plus some other non interesting stuff like home media gallery and antenna input etc. one thing though, is the elite you get in the US built in Japan? and what of the non-elite model?

When I was looking at them at the store, I could see a difference in the picture...i couldn't really put my finger on it exactly. I could see some scan lines (i'm sure that's input related), but with the same input I couldn't see the lines on the Elite. Just from looking at the picture, in short.

I haven't really even listened to them that well yet. We'll just have to wait and see. My hearing isn't the greatest and my acoustimass bass module isn't kicking for some reason, so I'll probably just stick with stock.

Default not the best pictures, sorry. I'll add more when its good and proper

So I haven't put the wall mount up yet (i've gotta get an alarm panel moved i think), rough night last night so I haven't had much time, I'm just about to sit down and start looking it over.

But these are from my "oh my god I gotta see this thing in my house"

Hmmm...you sure you were looking at the 5010? I'm sitting about 7 ft away from mine and there is no way the scan lines are visible with even NTSC content. With 1080p content, they're not visible even at half that distance. Given that the 5010 and the 150 have the exact same native resolution, I highly doubt visibility of scan lines or pixels differentiates these screens. But I wouldn't put it past a retailer to mislead you. Keep in mind there are lower resolution kuros, but the 5010 is 1080p.

According to Pioneer and some reviews the Elite also has a little more deeper blacks. The 60 inch Elite would be nice to have on my bedroom wall one day.

To be honest, no I'm not sure that is was the 5010, they didn't even tell me which one it was (I don't really like to talk to the customer service guys. I find that I can find much more relevant information on the web) I recently had a pioneer z2 installed in my car (when will they produce a blu-ray drive for the car?), and the guy started telling me about it and I forget what it was, but the first two things he told me were incorrect, and I corrected him (he then looked in the book and was like oh you're right).

-sorry about the retail employee rant

So in short it could have been any TV really, but based on the price I just made the assumption.

I truly can't wait to have this on the wall with my sanus mount, although the alarm company isn't coming till the 3rd so I'll have to wait. It's exactly in the middle of where I want to put the mount!

Just to get this straight, the 5010 is 50", the 6010 is the 60" non-Elite equivalent of the 150FD and the difference in retail is $1000.
