I just saw the TH42PX80U today when I was doing a shop at Best Buy. I work for the other guy. We should be getting the 42 and 50 in really soon. There is definitely a noticeable difference from the TH42PX75U. The 800U or 85 series won't be coming out until late March or April from what our Panasonic rep told us.

Did anyone read the article that said Pioneer is using Panasonic's plasmas for their 42 inch size? IMHO Pioneer is way overpriced with no difference in picture compared to the Panasonic. I even prefer the Panasonic's picture. I have seen multiple Pioneers set up in various stores right next to Panasonic's equally comparable model, and you can't see a difference. Definitely not worth paying the extra thousand or so for. Now that Pioneer is having Panasonic building their plasmas it just goes to show that even they know who is the king of plasmas. Panasonic also backs it up with #1 ratings from consumer reports and cnet.
