Lately I've been flattening by putting the print between two large acid free foam boards and then clamping them together with standard binder clips. Can put tissue between the print and the foam board if you're worried about that. Get the foam board from an arts and craft or frame store and you'll probably need to ask for it from their framing dept to get the large sizes.

I wanted to get some of this foam! Sadly Michael's told me they wouldn't sell it?

I've got some beanbags I recently made that are awesome for flattening. Sadly I don't have enough bean bags made to posters being flattened, so Steelbooks usually do the trick

I'm not sure, this would be another good section for the FAQ we are going to write Hopefully others will chime in with their techniques.
What do you mean by portfolio.
Do you keep all your posters in there that you are not using?

Wow that sucks. I actually bought mine from Michaels here in the US. They even let me use their usual coupon to save 40% off one of them. Had to bug their custom framing dept though and I usually go "I know you have it in the back and it's $7.99 a sheet. I want two". For smaller prints, I know that there's an Elmer's brand retail combo pack of two 20x30 inch sheets that I've found at stores before but it cost more than two of the larger sheets.

Oddly when I was at my local Michael's the other week someone came in and asked to buy an oversized piece of foam board and they did sell it to them.

I've got one of these bad boys.

I bought mine used from a local collector who had moved to a flat file and yes, I keep all my prints in it while they await framing. Right now though it is rather empty as I framed all my 24x36's. So it is down to a couple of Dan Miller prints, my Moss Batman and currently one Englert print. A couple of more prints on the way should help fill it up some

Wow , they look great.
Looks like they are definitely worth it if you have a large collection and intend to swap posters alot.

For those that hang framed official movie posters on walls, I am curious how you frame them up. Specifically, do you use spacers, mats, etc or just have the posters up against the glass, acrylic, etc.

For "mondo" type posters, I frame them up like art prints but the heavier paper stock and smaller size prints makes that a lot easier to do.

For movie posters, I currently just have them in some store bought frames and the posters are just sandwiched against the cheap glass. I know this isn't the proper way to do it if you want to keep them in good shape and I've already noticed waviness and wrinkles form on some. I never bothered with spacers thus far because I expect such large posters on thin paper to not hold flat anyhow. I know hollywoodposterframes recommends just having the poster up against high quality acrylic and they say it won't "stick" to that. Wondering what others do.

I have several of the hollywoodposterframes and I've switched a couple of them out and never had them stick to the acrylic. Really good frames for the price.

I am not sure if they are doing an original re-release style, they probably are and it will be a hard one to find, but this company appears to be offering a reprint of a supposed reprint, as it is 27x39 inches and does state that it is a licensed reprint. My guess is the original will feature a very low print run and be rather difficult to find. Thanks to Household for posting the link though.

Also tomorrow will be a sketch zombie Danny Miller print going on sale, only 31 signed and numbered copies available for you people out there into the whole zombie-genre:

Got my Finding Nemo 3D poster replacement today. The sides were mint, but whomever has rolling duties on these is going wayy too tight for the first initial rolls. Both posters I received have the same markings

Sorry for the crappy photos and the fact that it's wrapped... this one isn't getting put up immediately and keeping it in the plastic for now. Had 3 other frames picked up today, will post photos of them as well.

Hard to see in the photo, but the frame is a dark brown wood, I'm ecstatic with the job they did and am dropping off a couple more to them next month.

That is awesome. I'd gladly buy a ticket if they'd mail me the poster. LOL

Because those Halloween prints are only being sold at the screening, they will probably fetch a pretty penny for them on eBay. I don't recall how many standards or variants are being made, but anything Halloween print-wise will be quite popular. The ones signed by Carpenter are sure to fetch top dollar since it costs just over $500 for the meet and greet ticket. I was half tempted to go fly down for it since airfare is quite cheap, but it would run at least $800 when it's all said and done, but I would probably eBay the prints.

The probably sold out, they don't always have a large quantity of a poster, sometimes they only have a few. I remember many years ago they told me they got some of their posters from local theaters if they could and that probably was the case with Dredd, they may have only had a few copies and sold them all.
