Yea I'd pay the difference... Mind you I'm going out on a limb... *Fingers Crossed for great 3D*

And Dawn is my favorite film, of all time. I named my son Romero. I'm serious about some Dawn.

Cool.
Also a favorite of mine. Great late 70's setting, the old fashioned mall in Monroeville, PA, the countless zombies, Savini's gore, Romero's directing style, the 4 lead characters cleaning up the mess, music by Goblin, etc. A classic.

Yes, the 3D in Silent Hill 2 3D was great.

Off topic, but How would you feel if they continued their original plan to convert Dawn of the Dead into 3D? It'd have to be strong 3D, but I'd be thrilled to see it happen, as the 2D version will always remain intact.

Silent Hill 2 has a stalking villain that is after Heather that adds some mystery to the film.

Good to hear. I'm looking forward to seeing it. I do hope that it shows up at BB early.

I'm all for it. ( Dawn 3D ) It won't change my thoughts on the original film, and if it paid off, it would just be another version to love! I think we spoke about that in the Dracula 3D thread a while back.

Anxiously awaiting review and fellow members opinions on the 3D blu release before deciding to blind buy or not. I want to blind buy it....starving for some new 3D releases.

It's got a review up at AVS. They tore the film apart on itself, but it got high marks in the 3d and a/v department.

The 3D in this is quite spectacular to say the least. Loads, I mean LOADS of foreground placement. It's not pop-out but a lot of stuff is way outside the screen. STRONG 3D in this one.

See for yourself:

Well damn, that review just confirmed my worst fears. US fans are getting totally shafted. Missing the commentary, the deleted scenes, and instead of the hour-long making-of on the French version it's three measly minutes. Pathetic.

Let's just hope the French release isn't ACTUALLY locked to Region B so we can import... I need to see those deleted scenes, damnit!

Given that the French release isn't done by Universal, I would say it's not very likely to be Region Free since most that aren't owned by the same studio everywhere aren't Region Free. Obviously I can't know for sure though.

Indeed, that's exactly what's got me worried. The original film's awesome French release was from the same company and that one wasn't locked, but there's no telling if they've changed policy since.

Thanks for the input and the trailer srinivas. I enjoy the depth in a 3D blu better than pop outs.

Thanks for the heads up on the review at AVS ZOMBI3

This is available this Tuesday at Best Buy exclusively as reported above, so this is an unexpected early bonus. But it does stink we didn't get the deleted shots and other extras in other versions.

Is there commentary on this one? I hope so.

The 3D, again, in Silent Hill 2 had some of the best I've seen in all of 2012 in theaters.

Default Sweet!

I didn't get a chance to see this in 3D in the theater. I'm going to have to find a deal on this and check it out!

Cool. Sounds like you made it to the main town after the tough adventures and elevator puzzles of the caves, along with the train ride. Glad to hear the 3D on 360 works well. Any questions, I'll try to help from memory. There is one tricky puzzle later on in a Hotel that took me a while to figure out.

The cinematography was nicely done, agreed. The direction got the job done, so that may keep his options open for future films as director, as he's working on that TV show from the sound of it.

3D in Silent Hill Revelation is a range of medium to many strong 3D shots. Not always consistent, but really nicely done most times. I'd be surprised to see this one for 19.99$, but if you can get it for that price, go for it.

The disc in Australia has been available for under $10 numerous times and has a well worthwhile commentary track.
